We were told we’d complete this week (simultaneous exchange and completion) but Accord mortgage are basically auditing everything both conveyances have done before issuing funds. Has anyone else used Accord Mortgages had this? Our solicitor was NOT happy about this as there’s now a minimum 7 working day period for Accord to review all the work, meanwhile we are all packed and have been all week.On top of that is the worlds most frustrating buyer, who has cut our internet off this week by setting her own up so I can’t work and have to take annual leave, has had workmen sent to my house despite not even having exchanged yet and has had all her mail redirected here and expects me to take it to hers constantly. Losing the will to live. I had to sit in all day yesterday with 2 toddlers to wait for a workman she said was coming who never showed up, she didn’t even say thanks!I’m more excited to complete just to be done with them to be honest. The magic of the house has gone now it’s dragged on so long
a couple of months after id accepted the offer on my house, i went outside on a sunday afternoon to find two men wondering round my back garden! my buyers dad and a jcb hire man who had come to give him a quote. they had climbed over my back fence to get in!0 -

Well I'm finally joining this thread. We are buying a house, no chain either side. We thought it would be pretty straight forward but turns out a tiny bit of land in the garden is registered to someone else so our solicitor had to inform our lender. They sent the report + indemnity insurance for it on the 4th of March and since then it's been back and forth with HSBC saying they haven't received anything and our solicitor saying she has sent it again. Beyond frustrating! We just need an OK from them to go ahead with exchange0

@Becksina how frustrating! We are waiting for exchange but never would I set up internet at the new place or cancel the internet here yet as we are both working and what we know is very could fall through (it’s happened twice already). We could never do a simultaneous exchange and completion with everything we have.Should say she had no post also... keep it all and put it into a postbox when you leave0

our hideous buyer is coming round this eve with a damp meter. depsite already having money off...im sure hes looking for more. im sure we could have exchanged this week and hes been putting it off. im not sure i can cope with more stress of haggling....any advice?1

Eurgh. I'm so glad my buyer got the message when I said the price was as sold..... It is obvious it needs new windows and replastering etc so I was v clear that unless the survey showed anything major that was that.
Sorry I don't have any mature or legal suggestions 😂1
