I'm still thumb twiddling/trying to convince myself to put my house back on the market.
accepted an offer on our house on 10th July. Had an offer accepted on the house we want to buy on 15th July. the buying part is going swimmingly, the selling part is not. our buyers have had snag after snag, and are still waiting for a mortgage offer, they say that their broker has said it will be ok, but two of the brokers on this site have answered my questions on another thread and it sounds like they probably wont get one, so I know remarketing is the sensible thing to do..... I cant do it for a couple of days anyway for various reasons but I'm struggling to decide, because if it is only a case of waiting another week or two, I'm going to be at least that looking for another buyer aren't I. it all makes my head hurt.

Have they said what their issues are? If they managed to get the AIP it would be interesting to see if the mortgage route they're currently going down is with the same loan provider. If they've been declined after AIP stage it's worth asking the questions why.

10 weeks since we had our offer accepted on a house (FTB currently renting)

Process was going smoothly then vendors lost their house as someone put in higher offer, apparently it was never taken off the market after their offer was accepted so we're back to square one. We had our mortgage offer through 3 weeks ago and solicitors have done all land registry checks already so it's just a waiting game now.

Very worried the vendors are going to pull out or take months and months to find another property! :(

A week later and I've chased EA after no contact- vendors are going for a 2nd viewing on another property, which apparently has no chain attached as owner is moving in with family. We have 3 months left on our mortgage offer but EA has assured us (for now) that vendors are very keen to move ASAP. Followed up with Solicitor today too to make sure we're still good to go from our end. Refraining from buying homeware in fear of jinxing!

It's such a hard decision, we had this battle when the bottom of our chain were fannying about for weeks over nothing.

10th July to now is a long time to not have a mortgage offer though. I hope whatever happens works out for the best in the end but I can really empathize for you right now! :(

I dont know, and I also dont really know what is what which is why I ask the very clever and experienced people on here. :)They were originally declined because of a rental address inconsistency which was sorted I know that for certain.
But now they havent been offered or declined as far as I can tell they have "been undergoing initial assesment by our underwriters" since the 17th of September and havent had a yes or a no of any description. he's a decent fella and he has sent me copies of his emails, so i do believe they are doing their best its just frustrating and difficult to know what to do for the best. My EA said it could take upto 6 weeks for an offer to come through, but everything ive read and seen on this forum suggests its not usually anything like that long. As I say a couple of the clever broker folks on here are suggesting it sounds like they are not going to get an offer so I think it really is back to the drawing board. Im just trying to adjust to that fact:(
