Right, take two for the home insurance - stuck with Halifax though for some reason it's £10 cheaper today :rotfl:
Starts from tomorrow in the hope that we do exchange this week, if we don't it's cutting it very close as my mortgage company require 7 days to release the funds and my offer expires in 13.
I've packed some stuff - mainly to make room as my parent stayed over xmas, but I've got a huge overlap so will move slowly. Actually trying to make a plan of when to move in proper, esp as I want a few days for my cats to settle while I am there. I really really need to declutter - so I'm hoping I'll only take what I need.
Off to the cinema as it's my day off and I need something to distract me. Off to watch Three Billboards.0 -
I've not done our home insurance yet - waiting for confirmation that exchange is definitely Friday. I do have quotes though so that's something.
I've heard that's a great film - I'd been hoping work would distract me, but it's the opposite, can't concentrate for checking my email to see if the solicitors have replied0 -
Snap FTB doesn't help that i work from home and had nothing from my solicitor today

Solicitor still waiting to hear back from vendor sol regarding the indemnity I just want them to hurry the *BEEP* up now as this is a delay I can do without and have electricians going in on Friday to quote for a rewire so ideally need a date by then so we can be realistic about when to exchange and complete by ...

BIB - I cant find that thread, can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thank you0 -
Our timeline:
30 Oct - Offer accepted
6 Nov - Notification of Sale Received & seller forms
11 Dec - Initial enquiries raised
5 Jan forms to be signed for Adverse possession (ST1 forms)
We are at 11 weeks now since we accepted an offer on our property
Emailed our solicitor for an update from them and they are usually good at responding within a couple of days so fingers crossed - I try not to pester as we are confident in their abilities as they did our conveyancing for the property we purchased last year. Just hope it is good news they come back with. Also asked them to advise me on what I should do with letters to our buyer sent to our property (I opened first few as I could see they were from energy suppliers trying to set up and switch account and another today from insurers assume its a quote for him insurance - hubby says return to sender but i think thats a bit harsh!!)
In the meantime busying myself on houzz with kitchen ideas!
Off to read up how everyone else progressing now
