Don’t know what that means, really. My buyer has like 3 outstanding, 1 of which is odd and has been answered before, but at the same time they also proposed the end of the month. On my side, any I’ve asked have been answered and I’m not aware of others unless my solicitor has asked and just not told me. Am buying a new build which is done and waiting for me, really.Slithery said:

Sounds like you are close then. I'm sure there is no harm in checking with your solicitor if there is anything else to answer or to ask them for an update.
I've managed to find availability for removals at end of Jan so might just be a case of ringing around. Are your buyer FTB or need to rely on others and their dates? Surely the dates are still a discussion point only.

Original enquiries have been answered but my solicitor asked for more information on a few points. Plus I emailed her on 28th Dec for more clarification on one question as I wasn't impressed with all the don't knows! Part of me wishes I never bothered but better safe than sorry I suppose!Nicbetty said:
I am pretty much at exactly same stage as you with very similar timelines. It’s frustrating just waiting for the enquiries ! I’ve signed everything I need to just waiting for exchange datejdsimmons3 said:Joining in this thread!

9/12 Mortgage accepted
16/12 all Searches back and ok
Literally just waiting on the seller to answer our additional enquiries. Getting frustrated with how long it's taking but I hope we can exchange soon!0 -
So got a email from solicitor yesterday to say searches should be with her Monday. So she should get her report to me relatively quickly. Valuation should still be done Tuesday. No contract pack been sent yet. I did email purple brick post sales asking them to chase it. Not sure if that is what they are there for but the vendor doesn’t reply to me so not sure who else to contact.Anyone else brought a property through purple bricks?0

Yes - our vendor is using purple bricks. They usually have to use the EA solicitors who seem to be cr*p. 06/01 Homebuyers report received / searches backfirstbuyer said:01/12 - Offer Accepted / Sols Instructed
02/12 - Revised property change form submitted to natwest
09/12 - Mortgage offer received
24/12 - Draft contracts received
Then everything went a little cold! Have had confirmation my buyers solicitor has received some answers to enquiries but not all. Not sure if searches have been ordered on our onward purchase or if any enquiries have been raised.
Rang Target today to check our docs and money for redemption were all received OK, they asked me to resend the email and now wait 5 days as it wasn't showing on their end.. give me strength.
Onward purchase sellers have asked for a completion date of 22nd Feb... our chain is tiny with it being them us and our buyer.
Just still doesn't feel like it's moving quick enough to hit the 22nd Feb
Woop! Solicitor has said all enquiries have been answered for my buyers, but has yet to raise enquiries with our onward purchase.
Still waiting for our redemption from Target H2B, still not sure why it's so difficult to pay back!
Now time to ponder the HUGE list of things we need to do to the property and prioritise what is a necessity. Reminding ourselves that it will be worth it long term :')Finally completed on our new home

It took 3/4 weeks to get the contract pack from our vendor. I rang the post sales support team multiple times, and the local agent as for some reason the vendor doens't want direct contact. Contracts were received on 24th December, which was a faff as everything just shut down for xmas. Such is life!charlotteo1988 said:

My solicitor is pretty good, the last update had 3 queries for me which I answered, so I think it’s moving quickly.Moneybear said:ccbrowning said:

I don’t know why my buyer is so keen as their buyer is living with family, so I assume have no fixed dates. I have one, but it’s by end of Feb. Personally hope it ends up being 11 Feb.0
