story of my journey so far, OOO everywhere!
  • Congratulations to everyone making progress. We have sold our house but still waiting for confirmation of completion on the new house. Sat outside with two cats who hate being in the car! The funds apparently haven't cleared with the vendor yet.
  • Congrats @E_D_FTB and @FirstTimePlx

@DeletedUser Is there any hope for the buyer getting a new buyer, or is it all done? I'm so sorry.

@Lorann_86 Eek! I hope you get confirmation soon.

Our new buyer has changed his mortgage application; and they are expecting the valuation to be early next week.. Our estate agent is now frantically calling us and our solicitor to get the paperwork sent over to his new solicitor, who is waiting for it. Our solicitor has regressed to past habits and is not answering the phone at all.
    Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:

    Thank you

I have been on top of it with my, EA; my conveyancer and all of the relevant people non stop for the past 2.5 months.

It is worth its weight in gold; if they answer questions and pick up the phone and emails.

Without a bit of pushing, I feel like it just stagnates.

Congrats to those just exchanged. @Lorann_86 Hope them funds turn up soon and your get those cats happy. We've got a long move with a cat coming up soon, it going to be a stress.

We're ready to exchange in England and close to concluding missives in Scotland. Just one final missive to clarify some late coming qualified acceptances and a surprise retention clause to cover some outstanding maintenance work. Nonetheless, solicitors on both sides of the border are convinced we should exchange/conclude before the end of the week, with a view to completing on Friday 8th. Fingers crossed!
    - Yeah, we conceded on the Friday move date, but it's costing us another £500 on removals/storage, cash on cattery for a week in between, kids miss a week of school, had to book another few days off work and now completing after motorcycle insurance expires, so having to pay top whack London premium for a couple of days... On the bright side, we get to hole up with family up North for a week who we've not seen much of during the pandemic.
