  • So I think I said the other day, our sale is now 'ready'. Both my solicitor and the EA's progression team have chased our onward purchaser's solicitor as we sent enquires rough 10 days ago now and are waiting on a response. I think the EA's progression team just fires off an e-mail and hopes for the best. Any ideas anyone??
Question for you ? Are you using FHTB ?
No, we used it on our first purchase though.
Thats what are waiting on, we have put a chunk down ourselves also.

Its just been approved and moved off jpa so now we are waiting on then drawing the funds down.

We waited AGES to get the 'PIN' and there were loads of paperwork blunders which caused us a headache. It's what held us up the most as FTB. Good luck, sounds like you are almost at the end!

We got the pin within a week, the emailed that to the solicitor and us, Paper work they insisted that it all had the same date on !! pedantic predictable army tho.

But we are a month from application to drawing down. I think they are speeding up the process due to the FHTB ending in Dec of next year, But the have been extending the date over the last few years.

I just don't want any part of the FAM debacle that they are insisting that we will have to start using upon postings.

Last update was the vendors solicitors were ready for exchange but were contacting their onward purchase (final part of the chain) they said they would get back to me but since then I’ve heard nothing. They wanted to exchange today but the hours are running out! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Frustrating isn’t it! It could happen today still but, I haven’t heard anymore. We go away tomorrow as well so wanted it done before then so we can relax before completion on Friday

The solicitor asked on Monday would we be ok for completion this Friday and I said yes then asked to transfer funds over, I asked yesterday if she’s received all funds which she said yes I then asked does this mean we will have the keys Friday and she said that’s what she’s aiming for, nothing about exchange just completion, maybe it’s because it’s no chain and a empty house, I don’t know lol I’m a FTB and ain’t got a clue lol
