Anyone had any news yet? Radio silence from Solicitor and EA so far this morning. If we don't exchange today we can't meet our 25th June completion date, so the chain will likely collapse

Hi All
Could do with some advice, our solicitor is being vague! We got our mortgage offer last week, all searches and queries are done. We asked for a date for completion and got told “it’s too early to give a date yet” I emailed the estate agent sales progressor to ask if she knew there was a exchange date in mind and she said to tell our solicitors what date we want to complete and they should work towards an exchange date then!? Is this the norm? I just assumed when everything was done they would just get on and exchange themselves without us getting involved, but do I literally have to give a date myself?0 -
