Surely this could have been done alongside everything else? Or am I missing something that means it's gotta be done closer to exchange?0

After 5 months, we have finally exchanged the contract with completion on 18th June. I wish everyone here will get their exchange done ASAP!
Could anyone suggest any good link to follow to prepare the moving?
Also, any suggestion about the moving company? I am moving from Surrey to Surrey but it's 20 miles drive.8 -

Hoping I'll be in your shoes within a few hours but with a long chain I'm sure it will be very end of the day...1 -
@asbear congratulations, I'm in Kent and have arranged a man with a van, so much cheaper than the quotes I was getting from bigger removals. I actually booked mine Monday for the 25th as that was the earliest he could do. Id call some and check availability as they are getting so booked up1

Our update, well its been just so stressful like many of you. Been ready to exchange for a week on the purchase but our buyer had not received his contract from his solicitor and when the EA chases either of them she has no luck. I just have had enough of it all. To top things off earlier in the week when I spoke to my solicitor he asked me hows things going with your sale , I just thought hang on your the solicitor shouldn't you be telling me, he also realised I hadn't been sent the contract or transfer for the sale. Want to exchange Wednesday at the latest otherwise I'll have to pay extra fees cause of expedited completion, has anyone else come access this?0

I totally understand and share your pain with having all things ready for a while, as for your knowledge, and things are still not moving! Nothing really has been moving for me since I received my mortgage offer at the end of April. Hopefully you get news soon and you are not too far away from exchanging!Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:
