FTB, put offer on a house late January, applied for mortgage early February with Barclays. We have been waiting for our mortgage offer since then. 2 weeks ago we received a letter from Barclays that said our mortgage application had been 'closed' with no indication as to why, or if that meant declined or accepted. Well we spoke to our mortgage advisor on the same day and apparently it was an IT error on the mortgage lenders side and he is having someone chase them every day for an update, yet here we are 2 weeks later with nothing. It's getting a bit much at this point like it's never going to happen.0 -

We managed to redeem two LISAs and were surprised how different the process was across two banks. The 'good' bank was very slow and difficult to deal with, and the smaller, more amateur bank did a much better job.DIP 09/02/21

Done all I can to get updates from our buyers today - left messages for my solicitor and estate agent and even emailed the land charges department to see if they can confirm if any searches have been requested for my house.
I just want to know what type of progress they have made! We've been so on it communicating with our vendor, replying to all emails straight away with quick confirmations etc.

No more news on my move today either, all but the top of the chain are in agreement on the 18th (we're all obvs not that fussed on the football lol!), with the estate agents saying they will keep applying the pressure. Hopefully be good news tomorrow0

WoooHooo my searches are back! Now I'm just waiting on the report from the structural engineer and I've then done absolutely everything that I can from my side. Sadly, my solicitor (who is awesome) emailed me on Saturday to let me know that the sellers haven't sent ANY of the paperwork that they need except for the bill of sale... so I've tried chasing them up.If they don't get on with it I'm seriously considering asking them to pay half my stamp duty fees because it's not my fault I'm not going to make the deadline.1

been at my parents....mum phoned their solicitors while I was there, their solicitors have been emailing the wrong person!!!! Instead of clicking reply to our solicitors they’ve been @ someone else. Dear god I could cry with frustration. Only 3 enquiries which are easy to send back over we could have exchanged and completed last month.Losing the will to live
Got our survey back after prompting again, no shocks so now we do enquiries which solicitor insists we have to do?? Then exchange arranged I hope. More packing today and using up freezer food.0 -
Still waiting to exchange , hoping for this week. Panicking i won't find a removals company with available dates. I have emailed 3 to see what there availability is fir June and they are fully booked. And I cant book without a completion date eek.0
