Hi ,
my wife has a leasehold of 115 years on a flat in a house of 4 flats . I have checked out who owns the freehold but the management company ceased to exist a few years ago , so the freehold has gone to the Crown . How would I go about trying to find out if I can buy the freehold ( or would the other 3 flats need to give permission ??
We have never paid ground rent since buying the flat 7 years ago .0 -

We bought our house on 7th of January 2021 and are still awaiting title register in our name.
At the start of this week Land Registry is showing transaction data (incl price paid) but when I purchased the £3 Title Register it still showed previous owners.
Why such disconnect and how long will it now take to change title deed in the title register?0 -

Why such disconnect and how long will it now take to change title deed in the title register? The timescales from completion on a purchase to registration will vary but your conveyancer should be able to confirm when it was lodged and if there is any reason for a delay. In most cases the timescale is a wait time of 6/7 weeks so when was the application actually lodged and what’s the current status? Do you have the title number/case reference“Official Company Representative

Land_Registry said:harib0uk said:Hi LR,I'm trying to track down old deeds and old conveyances to my property, It's registered electronically, and the title deeds have some information about when the land was sold but not when the house was built and first sold.I've read on the gov website that If the register refers to deeds being filed, you should have copies. - I have the Title regster which states:Title Number : HP183677
This title is dealt with by HM Land Registry, Weymouth Office.
The following extract contains information taken from the register of the above title
number. A full copy of the register accompanies this document and you should read that
in order to be sure that these brief details are complete.
Neither this extract nor the full copy is an 'Official Copy' of the register. An
official copy of the register is admissible in evidence in a court to the same extent
as the original. A person is entitled to be indemnified by the registrar if he or she
suffers loss by reason of a mistake in an official copy.I'd like to fill out an OC2 to request details and pay the appropriate fee, but I can't just request 'all' So how do I find out what details LR hold (other than those reffered to in the title dead) in order to request them? I have contected LR via the website but unhelpfully its just come back to fill out the OC2 form.thank you
If nothing then you can still apply for a copy of the list of documents submitted when it was first registered. That will confirm what deeds were lodged at the time and then returned. However the register may give you a clue re the age of the property and the first sale.
How do you check the register to see what’s ‘filed’?And how do you go about requesting a copy of the list of documents submitted when it was first registered.ThanksTrying to make a better life.... If you need me you'll find me at the allotment.0 -

Hello, I wondered if you could give me some guidance on our situation please?
The developer has transferred part of the access road to a neighboring property, and now when selling our house the buyers solicitors are suggesting we do not have access over the land to reach our parking space. The developer is now negotiating with our neighbor to transfer the land back to themselves, do you know what the process for this is and how long this is likely to take? Our neighbor has a mortgage and also has help to buy on the property. Are there any steps that can be taken to expediate the process which I can recommend. Thanks in advance for your help.0 -
