Hi, we are purchasing an unregistered house and the sellers solicitor lodged an application for first registration. The application was recieved on the 2nd of November. I wander if anyone can tell me if it has been expedited (our solicitor asked them to) and how long the process will take to complete?
We are effectively homeless and the whole process has been going on for over a year!
    HMRC REF:WT454550/FF6EF96
    Many thanks.
It was received on the date posted but it’s not been expedited. The lodging conveyancer will need to request that
If it’s not expedited then the wait time will most likely be several months

  • Hi Land Registry!
Have just heard from my solicitor that the Land Registry is missing a page from our Lease on the copy the LR holds, solicitor has said they have provided you with the page and are waiting for you to update your records accordingly before we can move on with our sale and get to exchange.
Just wondering how long this is likely going to take? We have been trying to sell since January with 2 previous failed sales and the currently sale has been going on since July so we are a bit antsy hence posting on here!

    Many thanks!

Ok that is strange as our solicitor has informed us today that the conveyancer have requested for it to be expedited?
I'm guessing it needs to be approved for it to show up on the application process?
  • can you please point me in right direction.
on deeds there is a small section to the side of our garden which is unreadible due to the size - where can you find out exactly what this area is ?

I’m unsure you can as the deed is the deed.
Presumably if it’s something physical then the reality on the ground helps?
Can you share a pic perhaps?

Apologies if I have asked this before.
Am I right in saying that if a property is demolished there is no need to notify Land Registry as this does not affect the deeds?

it's a piece of grass, with 3 paking spaces to one side and my garden the other side.

Correct - we register the general boundaries rather than any structures built on it.

Ok but not easy to focus. In my experience any figures tend to be added to denote a distance measured in some way and annotated on the plan.
