sorry, my son was talking about a name on some receipts we have for some repairs not v5 form. The v5 we have is v5c/4 and a little green slip which I have returned along with the V62,0

V5c/2 is what I have to send back with the V62. I have done that.0

ok ,the motor trader or the DVLA are at fault here , however if you look at the back of the v5c/2 it tells you to notify them if a NEW v5 is not recieved within ,,,,,,,,,,Save a Rachael

yes I noticed that, its a four week period. So we are at fault for not doing that, I cannot argue against it.0

yes it is, but bear in mind he cannot tell them who was driving , just the new owners details , plus he (or she) is at fault for not notifying the DVLA of the change of ownership

remains to be seen , most motor traders use the online system and have done so a long time before it was made available to the public .
also ask the trader for the name and address details he used to the DVLASave a Rachael
