I also wave and I've never been caught ............... mind you, that could be because I was driving at the average speed limit!

Someone told me the other day that when passing Average Speed Cameras if you hold your hand up angled slightly to the left the operators thinks you are one of the force so avoiding capture.

Is there any truth in this?

You do realise that average speed cameras are monitored by computers, right? There's not some poor guy who has to frantically type in the numberplate of every car that goes past.
Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning

Works about as well as flashing your headlights at the radar box on temporary traffic lights.

No, it only works if you actually USE The Force. ;)
  • Holding your right foot angled slightly so that the speed displayed on the big dial or display in front of you is less than or equal to the speed limit is a foolproof way of avoiding capture.
