I don't mind them making a small profit but not over 50% then leaving the retail price on.
I typical markup could be about 100%, maybe more if there's some kind of processing involved.

Stop whining and grow up. You were happy to pay the price you offered, you got the item promised.

If you could buy it at that 50% price then you should have. But it sounds like you couldn't.

What you should be asking is "should I ever bid on eBay again".

It's always down to how much you are prepared to pay for something. If you were happy with the price then a positive feedback is due I think.

Is that before or after their business costs..? Tax, VAT, postage, packaging, eBay fees, PayPal fees are just a few off the top of my head!

You agreed to pay the price that the seller was asking end of story. I'm guessing it was not covered by the John Lewis price guarantee lol.

    Do your research next time.

I did do a search before buying the item and all the places selling the item was around the same price but they all had different postage costs (Some was charging as much as the item).
I've now found out the item is no longer being made and the places that are still selling the item is selling above the normal suggested price to take advantage of this situation for their own benefit.

At least this person came on here to ask for advice as to what feedback to leave as I assume they weren't sure. As many of us sellers are only too aware there is someone leaving belligerent and thoughtless feedback every few minutes.
