Glad BIL's op went well
Have a nice relaxing weekend xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
The snow and cold has somewhat put a spanner in the works, got the car back ok, have a budget of 2500 for a car as this cost 500 but at least I have a car. Sainsbury's are late and I have cancelled another night out as I think it is too cold (and maybe snowy) for Mum to go out.
I have found a summer house. They install it as well. Hope I can get it done in the holidays.....and then it is on with the decluttering and sorting.
Had major problems with the gardener. He didn't finish the work and can't give a day when he can. Rubbish.
Can anyone suggest a basic healthy diet plan to follow. Random I know but I eat so badly and get so hungry. I know losing weight isn't going to happen but I would rather not get more fat.
For example I have just had two slices of toast and 4 chocolate biscuits. I feel ill now. not surprising I know. But I was starving and ate whatever I could find!
and now I just want to sleep.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -

He went in in July.
Had a nice dinner. Got a terrible headache. Ridiculous but think it is the snow! the stress of cancelling the night out, being cold and worrying.
Can't believe this is the last Saturday night I will be picking up sister!

Not sue if it helps Buffy, but I've lost some weight over the past 2.5 years and got generally healthier by doing one thing which I think is long term sustainable.
I swap unhealthier food for good food along the way rather then diet. So mashed potato or rice become mashed or grated cauliflower, pasta becomes courgette or this dried bean pasta alternative I found. I don't mean cut all the carbs, I still eat them, but I eat healthier bread for example. Porridge has become toast with peanut butter, or yoghurt and banana smoothie. I've just swapped alternatives as I found them. No strict diet I can fall off, so no reason to fail.
I still eat what I want though, dinner last night was popcorn at the cinema!! And friday night takeaway has turned into nachos with homemade dips (far more healthy then store bought) but as much cheese as I want!19/12/14: Spent 10 years of savings!!
:heart2: ..... to buy my first home. :heart2:
