I sold a wheezy cuddly penguin from toy story on ebay and the buyer was in America.

3 weeks later, I recieved an email with email attachments from the buyer.. they had taken wheezy to disneyland and had taken loads of random pictures of him with Mickey.. on rides.. sat by the log fire !! Was absolutely hilarious - and a little strange ! haha !!

I sold a fireplace on Ebay and the buyer from the Midlands asked whether he could drive up and collect and pay cash.I gave him directions, he got lost a few times and rang my mobile but eventually rang and said he was 5 mins away having just turned off the motorway.I stood at my front door to watch out for him but after 15 mins no sign. When I heard an ambulance I became concerned so rang his mobile and found out whilst he was waiting to turn right into our street a 4x4 had driven into his rear end and smashed his car through a fence into the front garden of a house round the corner from me.I immediately went round there to see him being put onto a stretcher and then into the ambulance. As he was a long way from home and not knowing anyone in the area apart from me I offered to collect him from hospital when he was discharged which was later that day.He came back to my house and waited for a couple of hours until his partner drove up to collect him.He was a really nice chap and I was glad to have met him.Obviously not a funny incident but a bit out of the ordinary!!By the way he came back the following day in a courtesy car and collected the fireplace!! I'm still waiting to hear whether he received any compo'!!

Those are the two best things I've ever read. lmao.gif

my friend had afireplace listed on ebay,a guy from portugal ended up winning the auction,he asked what the postage would be,it worked out to be £200 to post it to portugal, the buyer said he would arrange for his own courier to collect the fireplace,my friend gave him collection address,in the meantime the buyer paid for the item including the £200 postage,a week passed,no courier,a fortnight past,no courier, after sending email after email he still got no reply, this was over a year ago now and the fireplace has still not been collected and the money is still in my friends paypal account, hes too scared to take it out incase a refund is asked for.

I'd say your mate is lucky then!
Maybe something unfortunate happened to the buyer?

I also had a buyer who wanted me to post a brand new N95 to portugal before he paid because he didn't trust me.. who has over 500 100% feedback, and he has 0 feedback haha. What a goon.

Also had somebody buy a dress from me, and then informed me that it looked great on.. perfectly fine i thought, til they told me they were a cross dressing male and asked if i had any photo's i would send them haha.

Oh and don't forget to read the questions to seller bit.
  • LOL.......this is a great thread...:j :j :j

Recently I was selling a driving theory & practical test dvd set as I had passed my test and I got an question from a young lad who was nervous about his forthcoming test, not to do with the item I had listed, asking how many lessons I had had and how he could control his nerves.

I messaged him back, told him the dvds really helped me, he messaged me back several times asking me about my test, which maneuvers I had to do and alsorts of questions not really relating to the auction, he then asked how old I was, I think he was expecting me to be a fresh faced 17 year old, when I told him I was 33 he didn't message me again :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: and he never bid on the dvds!

Got two camera training dvds instead of one the other day and maganged to sell the second for £5 more than I bought the first for :)
