    Evening :wave:

    I've had a lovely first day of the holidays:). I'm trying real hard to get some balance into my free time so that it's not all eaten up by things that can actually wait while I invest some time in things that are more important. It's a work in progress:p

    I'm going to try and set some sensible goals for the next week. I need to do my reports so I'm going to aim for four a day along with one home type chore, some exercise and something social. I'm hoping this will stop me ploughing through a ludicrous to do list, not getting enough rest and neglecting my friends.

    Today's goals;

    Reports - 5/4:j

    Exercise - a run and 20 minutes weights:)

    Household chore - unblocked top water drain _pale_

    Social - went to a friend's bbq which was lovely :)

    In addition I managed a few other successes;

    Coffee and an hour's reading in bed

    Did the food shop for £25.02 which included the ingredients for a white choc cheese cake to take as our bbq contribution

    Watched a bit of tv

    Laundry (including dd's bed) line dried, folded and put away.

    Made the kids pancakes for breakfast and had lo for lunch

    Hoovered downstairs

    My new month starts tomorrow as it's officially pay day. My spends for this month have been ;

    Grocery (including cleaning, toiletries and dog food £133.12/ £160
    This is an average of £26.62 a week which I'm really chuffed with :). I have now finished all my bargain ys joints bought after Christmas so this will go up in coming months.

    Personal £30.40/£56 :j. This included a meal out with friends (all other socialising was done at home or at friend's homes which I actually really enjoy), a new to me dress for work and a large real leather tote ( have been trying to get for nearly a year but they were going for silly money. Persistence paid off - got one for £14.10 including postage and it's gorgeous :)), a Coast blazer and a Debenhams short Mac (£2 each from my fave cs) and two Cs books. All felt like real treats as they certainly weren't needs but on reflection it was money very well spent :)

    Fuel £127/£150 :). I'm going to increase my budget to £35 a week as petrol has gone up a lot and I can't lift share next half term.

    My annual spends, whilst all necessary and done as cheaply as possible were :eek::eek:

    Car £147 (new exhaust followed by Mot later in the month)

    Rental maintainence and repairs £748.40 :eek:

    House £4.50 (cleaning noodle, slug pellets, preserving bottle and cake stand and sugar jar)

    Gifts and cards ££6.99

    Despite the above my savings have been good as I've squirrelled every spare penny and I've had a good eBay month so I'm very much looking forward to my month end mortgage totals:)

    As it's a four week month budgets for next month will be

    Grocery £128

    Fuel £140

    Personal £45

    I'm going to ponder my lifestyle goals a while longer :)

    Happy Saturday to you :):)

    Evening :wave:

    Another beautiful, sunny day here:). Trying to get my day of balance proved a bit of a rush in the morning but this did allow for a very chilled afternoon and evening so it was worth the juggling:p

    Today's goals;

    Reports - 4/4:j

    Exercise - a run, 20 minutes weights and a 5 mile country walk (to the pub :o:p)

    Household chores - stained the coal bunker and the wooden planters

    Social - walk to a lovely country pub with friends for drinks and a late lunch/early dinner and five hours of chatting and enjoying the sunshine. It made me realise (again) that I need to make time for this as it's fun and it's an important part of my well being:) Thoroughly enjoyed it so £10 well spent :):)

    Other successes included;

    Made overnight oats

    Called in on mum and dad

    Lo for lunch

    Laundry in the machine ready to hang out tomorrow

    Relisted some unsold eBay items

    Iced a lemon cake from the freezer and filled it with lemon curd (also from the freezer) as a thank you to the friend who organised today. She's brilliant at get things organised and I hope she knows she's appreciated.

    I'm off for an early night as dd is out at a friend's bbq and ds is revising and I'm pooped from all that relaxing:p

    Happy Sunday to you :)

    Evening :wave:

    This weather is amazing :)

    I was awake ridiculously early this morning so I managed coffee and a read in bed and was still up and out with the larks:D. I'm still approaching each day with a balanced plan and so far so good. I caught myself about 'just do this while I'm at it' today and stopped:D

    Today's goals ;

    Reports 4/4

    Exercise - got out early when it was cool and did my first long run In a while and it felt really good:). Think gorgeous blue skies help! Also did 20 mins weights and 10 minutes core.

    Home chores - stained two lots of garden furniture and a bench and bought the stain ready to do the decking tomorrow.

    Social - big family bbq at my sister's :)

    Other mfw and well being successes included;

    Two loads of laundry line dried, folded and put away ( loads of sweaty sports kit :eek: and all the towels).

    Overnight oats for breakfast and freezer lo for lunch.

    Hoovered downstairs

    Painted my toenails :p

    A nsd apart from the decking stain :)

    Happy Monday to you:)
