Money sounds good, but you still need to look after yourself, especially when you're pushing physically!
Happy Monday2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Urghhhhhh car mot. I feel for you. I don't think it can be any worse than my experience this month.
Still, as you say, 4 day's until half term. What are your plans? I am already going to be less frugal than you as we are takin small to the zoo for one day with a teacher friend.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Looking forward to a bit of R and R next week Karmawishingthemortgaheaway wrote: »Urghhhhhh car mot. I feel for you. I don't think it can be any worse than my experience this month.

That sounds lovely Wish. I'm going to spend some time on writing assessments and reports
, hopefully getting some outside jobs done, having a bit of a fitness push, taking care of my boy as he's getting exam fatigue then having a city break with friends which I'm very excited about:) though I doubt it'll be frugal if the train ticket is anything to go by:eek:

Today has been a better day but surely it can't only be Tuesday can it?:eek: Work seems to have entered the silly season (kids and adults
) and there's so much going on. I'm trying to take it one job at a time but sometimes they come to quick and fast for that:p
In money news I've transferred £35.90 to the os pot from the last few eBay payments and two refunds from Shopmium. It's rent day soon which means I can pay off the cb cc and transfer the balance to the os pot (assuming the mot doesn't wipe out the surplus and more besides:eek:) and then that's my monthly money shuffles done for May.
Other mfw and well being successes included;
Laundry done and on the line
Shined my sink
EBay parcels posted
Enough water drank (just)
Spin class done and showered at the gym
Lo for lunch and pasta bake for dinner. We are out of salad but improvised with a big bowl of hm coleslaw instead. Plenty of lo for lunches
Marking up to date
Made overnight oats
Being very grateful for the continued sunshine
Off to watch an episode of Innocent before bed.
Happy Tuesday to you

Seriously getting used to this weather,it's fab. Makes you actually want to get out and do stuff despite having had a day at work. In had weather I'm inclined to hibernate:o
In money news I've transferred £6.29 in account rewards and a 99p tt to the os pot:D. I haven't had a nsd though as the car needed filling up, I had a £2.85 grocery spend on 2 cartons of juice, cooking bacon and some SP gravy granules that I get at Asda. I'll do the weekly shop at Aldi as late as possible as pushing the date of these back is saving me nearly a week's worth of grocery budget:D. I also had a £1 spend in £land on a large 2 in 1 shampoo for my gym bag and a £4 spend in the Cs while I was waiting for the car. It was £4 well spent though as I got DD two good travel guides for her upcoming trip to Asia, a history book, a pressure cooker book, a 3 DVD box set, a scarf for my mum and a lovely silver sugar canister to keep my icing sugar in:)
Other mfw and well being successes included,;
Laundry line dried, folded and put away
Changed my bed and put summer duvet on so hopefully I won't wake up sweating like an actual piggy :eek:
Brushed the weeds I'd sprayed between the block pavers out with the wizzy, long handled tool I got in the Aldi bargain bin last year - it was so easy that I might do it more often now!
Emptied the bins, sorted out the recycling and hoovered downstairs
Made leek and potato soup with a gifted leek that was about to turn, low fat hummus and white chocolate crispy cakes (to cheer ds up)
Was awake ridiculously early having slept really well so I got out for a run and did 20 minutes weights
Car passed its MOT :j. £57 including the test and some bulbs
Posted last two eBay parcels
Swallowed a frog - form filling
Lo for lunch and batch cooked veggie chilli for dinner. Lo are packed up for lunches
Off to watch the episode of Innocent I was going to watch last night but slept through
Happy Hump day to you:)

Evening :wave:
A quick one from me as I'm jiggered!
Nothing to report other than a long day at work and a nsd:j
I had lo for lunch and dinner and drank a decent amount of water.
Freezer lo are defrosting for lunch tomorrow and I'm off for a shower and bed!
Happy Thursday:):)

Made it :j:j. Seriously, I've had a right week, not sure if it's my age or the job's getting tougher but I feel ready for half term:eek:
A whole week of pottering and and spoiling my boy as he prepares for his final push to the end of his exams.
I'm going to try not to go at things like a loon:o. Every day I'd like to complete four reports and get one home chore done. Anything else will be a bonus.
It's payday today but it's early due to the bank holiday so I'm ignoring it until Sunday:p I'll do my monthly totals then.
Today's small but vital successes have been;
Drank enough water
Got a good night's sleep
A good, long natter with dd
Ds had a positive exam
Nearly a nsd (75p on a kg of oats)
Made apple, sultana and cinnamon overnight oats
Lo for lunch and hm sausagemeat plait, baked potatoes and hm coleslaw for dinner
Daily sweep and wipe done
Done my taxi service for the night so ds is safely home so off to bed (once I've turned off my alarms :j). Hoping for a lie in followed by coffee in bed and a good read - half term holiday heaven:):):)
Happy Friday to you
