    Hello Pinky,

    I wonder with your general wellbeingness angle going on, you have heard about breathing!!!!:rotfl:

    So my mindfulness book (think it's Dr Raj - 4 pillars or something!) suggests 3:4:5 breathing for a few minutes.
    In to a count of 3
    Hold to a count of 4
    Out to a count of 5

    Seems to work for me :D

    Evening :wave:

    Another late one at work but weirdly don't feel too weary. Think it's a bit of relief at getting things done and therefore knocked off the 'Things I'd like to get out of the way ' list:D

    My commute is a bit grim at this time of year as it's on country roads and it's so dark now:eek: it's also turned terribly cold and there's snow visable on the hills so it was lovely getting home to my warm, cosy house. It makes you thankful for what you've got that's for sure, a very good reminder that my thrift is a choice and not a necessity and for that I'm very grateful.

    Today's small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    A good sleep

    Drank enough water

    Cheap,healthy eats ( porridge for breakfast, lo for lunch and batch cooked three bean chilli and rice for dinner)

    A nsd :j

    Marking up to date and classroom tidy

    Lunches ready for tomorrow and calzones defrosting for an easy dinner as I've got another long day tomorrow.

    A few more Christmas presents wrapped.

    £3.68 tcb transferred to os account and a other £3.56 requested.

    Gift bags, wrapping paper, ribbon, scissors , tape and labels sorted out and put tidily in a box

    In bed with my electric blanket on enjoying a cup of tea :)

    Happy hump day:):)

    :rotfl: I do try and fit that in !! The joys of being a single mum, dutiful daughter and full time teacher - I do sometimes think I may eventually disappear up my own @**e:rotfl:

    I think mindfulness sounds so sensible and beneficial when people on here talk about so I really must give it a go :)

    Evening :wave:

    Omg it's so cold :eek: The heating has been on but I still lit the Wood burner when I got in. This has heated the downstairs to toasty levels and will get the laundry dry overnight:D

    Today has been busy and quite long (but not as long as yesterday) but good. I'm staying on top of my marking and assessments despite all the extras and that has definitely helped me to feel more in control.

    Today's small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    Breathing (thanks for the encouragement Butti :rotfl:)

    A good sleep

    Drank enough water

    A very cold run:eek:

    Cheap,healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, lo for lunch and batch cooked calzones from the freezer for an easy dinner)

    Did the grocery shop on the way home so did have some spends (£20.76 but went back for another two more bags of wonky apples as I had one on the way to the car and they turned out to be yummy Pink Ladies 78p for 5 big ones :money:)

    Checked tax return - two queries

    Laundry done and on the airer

    On of DS's Christmas presents arrived in the post so I wrapped it and put it away.

    Bins emptied

    Made a dentist appointment but couldn't get through to the Dr

    Swallowed a frog - email

    Off to bed to read for an hour before lights out at 10.30.

    Happy Thursday to you:)

    Friday :j:j. Very much looking forward to the weekend :D

    Work has been good, no major highs or lows which is fine by me:). It's been a very busy fortnight so I'm looking forward to a coup!e of quiet days at home. The kids have got bits and bobs on but mum's coming to eat with us on Sunday so we'll have a nice bit of family time then.
    I've no money news of any significance until payday. I had a smallish spend today on a Christmas gift as tcb were offering 5% cashback. It was only 70p but better in my pocket than their's and i was going to order it this weekend anyway.

    Other small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    Got away from work in good time so I got a few domestic jobs out of the way before the kids got home from work.

    Drank enough water

    A good sleep

    Two nice phone chats

    Spent the evening with Dad who was calm and settled :)

    Laundry done and on the airer and dry laundry folded but not put away

    Wrapped 4 Christmas presents

    Cheap,healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, lo for lunch and spaghetti carbonara and garlic bread for dinner)

    Ordered my last Christmas present online so only the kid's stockings to do now which I actually enjoy doing. I've got little bits and pieces throughout the year so it's just a few finishing touches and some new pjs for Christmas eve:)
    I need to pick ds up at 10.30 but then it's off to bed for me.

    Happy Friday to you:)
