    Afternoon :wave:

    Hello weekend :j:j. Can't believe I've only been back at work for a week, it's felt like a month! The kids are with their dad this weekend and so I'm having a very self indulgent day:) I've been for a cold, wet run which was weirdly enjoyable and a long bubble bath which was very enjoyable:D The rest of the day is going to be listening to the wind and rain from in front of the fire where I'll enjoying a good book. At some point part of the Apple mountain will become chutney and a new Cs box set will be started. Dinner will be toad in the hole and a glass of red. Bliss :D

    Today has been a nsd but yesterday wasn't as I filled up the car and had a £19.36 grocery spend. I've everything I need so I'm planning a ns week to try and boost my OP for the remainder of the year.

    Happy Saturday to you:)

    I totally agree it has been a long week and I only work 4 days :rotfl: (although that does include one evening until 9.00 p.m.) Hope you are feeling a little cheerier (is that even a word?) today. Indulgent bath time sounds lovely. You always achieve so much, even on the day when you felt meh, so enjoy some well deserved down time.

    Evening :wave:

    Today has been a good day:). Coffee and a long read in bed, pottering around for a bit and then a walk along the river and through the woods (which are so beautiful at this time of year) and a picnic then home for a bubble bath followed by a batch cooked curry and what was left of last night's wine. All in all a perfect Sunday:)

    Other small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    Laundry up to date

    Bed changed

    Tomorrow's lunches ready

    Another good sleep

    Drank enough water

    A nsd

    I've been through my October totals and I just need to double check my figures but it's looking better than I'd hoped given the annual costs I had . This MF/early retirement malarkey is really starting to feel doable :)

    Happy Sunday to you:):)

    Hiya Wish, Nutty and Karma - always lovely to 'see you' and thanks for the encouragement. This board is such a nice place to be - it really spurs me on and when things feel overwhelming you're reminded that they're not :A

    Survived day one of week two:eek: The kids are great and work is so good these days but I'm just pooped. Must be getting old :rotfl:

    In money news I've had a NSD but I did end up having a spend yesterday . Dd has asked for something for Christmas and the best value for money version I could find was in my eBay basket so when I saw that TCB had a £3 cash bonus and eBay had a 5% cashback offer on I decided that now was a good time so it's done and my cash back has tracked :)

    Today's small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    A good sleep

    Drank enough water

    Went for walk and a nice chat at lunchtime

    Marking and assessments up to date

    Classroom tidy

    DS has won a school prize . He's mortified and I'm proud:rotfl:

    Laundry folded but not put away:o

    Spent the evening with Dad

    Cheap,healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, lo for lunch, pumpkin and chickpea curry and hm naan from the freezer for dinner)

    I'm off to bed as I'm 10 minutes passed lights out!

    Happy Monday to you:):)

    Evening :wave:

    It's been a good but grey and miserable day. Autumn has definitely settled in and by 4 o'clock it was nearly dark. I shouldn't grumble really as there are lots of things I love about autumn. I love a bit of a forage and the jam and chutney making that follows, the lovely colours, lighting the wood burner, the electric blanket and the goose down duvet, stodgy food and getting ready for Christmas. I shall focus on these and not the dark drive home:)

    Today's small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    A good sleep - I generally don't sleep well (being of a certain age :mad:) so this spell of good sleep is just bliss. I hope I haven't just jinxed myself!

    Drank enough water

    Spin class done

    Had a long,hot shower at the gym

    Laundry done and on the airer and the folded stuff put away

    Lunches ready for tomorrow

    It was rent day so CB credit card paid off in full (October grocery, fuel and personal spends) and £189 transferred to the OS pot

    A nsd

    Marking up to date and resources ready for tomorrow. Classroom tidy.

    Cheap,healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, lo for lunch and batch cooked thai seafood curry and rice for dinner)

    October savings totals checked and finished

    My October totals were;

    Avc £960/£800. :)
    I've increased this as I've had a small pay rise, one lot of rent went up by £25 when I got new tenants and it's keeping my tax down.

    OS benefit £116.23. :)
    I just love this, it's like free money:). My savings pot making its own OP every month just by being there. OS mortgages have just been a revalation to me and things are so simple. I now have one CB credit card, a current account, one savings account(my OS pot) and one mortgage. It's all online and payments and transfers are quick and straightforward. Perfect for those who like to obsessively monitor progress:rotfl:

    Current mortgage balance £97,846.15

    Mortgage Neutral Balance £73,626.26 :)

    Capital Reduction £3449.47/£1250:j.
    This does included the last of my extra income for the work I did over the summer but it would have been around £1800 without it so I'm well chuffed:)

    Off to update my siggy whilst plotting ways to get to sub £70k by the year end :)

    Happy Tuesday to you:)
