    Evening :wave:

    It's the end of the holidays :( Consequently, today has been finishing off domestics and preparing for what looks like a very busy first week back:eek:

    In money news - there is none :rotfl: I've started my new month with the usual grocery (£128), fuel (£140) and personal spends (£44) budgets and haven't spent anything yet :D
    My savings goals have changed a bit as I've upped my additional pension contribution by £100 pm to save me from having to pay 40% tax on my rental income and my OP target remains £470 pm. However, I'd love to be sub £70k by the end of the year but that will be one heck of a stretch but I'm going to give it my best shot:)

    Today's small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    Drank enough water

    Went for a decent run

    A nsd :j

    Cut back a section of garden and filled the green bin ready for collection - thank you for the nudge Karma:A

    Sterilized some jars and put mincemeat away ready for Christmas

    Made thai pumpkin soup for lunch and put 3 family size portions in the freezer and kept two portions in the fridge for lunches.

    Put the remaining pumpkin in the sc with chickpeas,peachez , sweet potato and tinned tomatoes to make a veggie tagine. There's loads of it :p. That pumpkin has gone a long way!!

    Re-jigged the freezer so I know where everything is for the coming week.

    Made a roast dinner with a £1.50 ys joint of beef from the freezer. It looked tiny but it did a roast dinner for the three of us, lunches for tomorrow and there's enough left to do a pasta dish for dinner later in the week:money: I did extra of everything so I can grill some ys pork steaks from the freezer and do a quick fake roast dinner on Wednesday when we are all busy with other things

    Laundry done and almost line dried - it's in front of the wood burner finishing off.

    Stains removed from DS's carpet and from the stairs.

    Sorted out DS's trainers and footie boots and binned those with holes and washed the rest. Two pairs for the Cs and the rest to go back in the wardrobe without smelling like something has died :eek:

    Washed my new to me winter coat and will press it once it's fully dried.

    Watched a few episodes of Strangers whilst pottering - it's so good!

    I'm off to bed having switched my alarm back on :eek: I'm very grateful for the extra hour and for my electric blanket and my new Cs book. Life is good :):)

    Happy Sunday to you:)

    Glad the green bin thing helped you get the garden under control, PP - and I hope the week back isn't *too* overwhelming.

    Hiya Wish :wave:

    I chop It into small chunks, leaving the skin on and then season, spray with oil and roast. I then just chuck it in soup,curry tagines etc.

    I wash the seeds and remove any flesh/stringy bits , spray with oil and season with salt and smoked paprika and roast in the oven until they are golden. I then turn the oven off but leave them in overnight with the door closed to dry them out properly otherwise they're a bit chewy. I eat them as a snack, out them in salads or in hm bread:)

    Thank you. I will tackle that today.
    Ours is only a small pumpkin though. Can't imagine it will be as fruitful as yours.

    Evening:wave:

    First two days back at work have gone in a flash:eek: Its always a shock to the system after a holiday so I'm hoping I'll adjust soon!Everyone seems to be busy at the moment and both the kids worked late tonight - it was 7.30 by the time we say down to eat and everyone was heading off to bed by 9 :rotfl:

    In money news I filled up the car yesterday and had a £3.02 grocery spend on milk, cooking bacon and ys fruit and veggies but today was a nsd:D

    Other small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    Spin class done

    Laundry dried and folded but not put away

    Drank enough water

    Cheap healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, lo for lunch and lo roast dinner trimmings from Sunday with grilled steak for dinner)!

    Lunches ready for tomorrow

    Veggie tagine portioned up and in the freezer

    I'm sooooo ready for bed, I feel like such a lightweight:rotfl:

    Happy Tuesday to you :)

    We have 2 pumpkins yet to be carved. Am predicting lots of pumpkin based meals here. Am sure they can be made into brownies aswell?

    Evening :wave:

    I've had an attack of the glums today:( and just couldn't shake them off. Hoping it's just a one off and I'll bounce back tomorrow.
    Consequently, I've had to force myself to do things as my motivation level was zilch:o

    Today's small and very slow steps to success and wellbeing included;

    Stewed a bag of gifted apples

    Laundry done and drying in front of the wood burner

    Easy dinner of pasta with pesto and olives and a bag of ys salad.

    Took ds to footie training

    Swa!lowed three frogs 1 letter, 1 form and 1 email

    Went for a short run to try and clear my overcrowded head :p

    Drank enough water

    Had a nice chat with DD

    Emptied the bins ready for collection

    Tomorrow's lunches are ready

    Had a nsd

    Off to watch TGBBO final having managed to avoid finding out who the winner is:)wave

    Happy Hump Day to you:)
