    Evening :wave:

    Ice has given way to fog and torrential rain. Anyone else ready for spring?!!

    Today has been a bit hectic but generally good for which I'm grateful. Lots of grown up getting to that stage in the term where they are on the brink. As of now, I'm not one of them. Long may it last:p

    Today's small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    A good sleep

    Drank enough water

    Cheap, healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, lo for lunch, pumpkin, chickpea and sweet potato curry for dinner)

    Laundry folded and put away

    Smear test appointment made :eek:

    Tax return checked, signed and returned

    A quiet evening with Dad who looked a bit better:)

    A nsd

    A lovely chat with DD whose just got a promotion :):)

    Off to bed for a 20 minute read then lights out.
    Happy hump day :):)

    We are a bit further south than you I think. Fog first thing then torrential rain all day leading to the drains on the roads being unable to cope with the deluge. (Although if the council/highways had cleared the fallen leaves from the drains we may have done a bit better. )

    It's been grim hasn't it? Roll on spring :p

    Just lost a massive post :mad:

    Essentially mortgage is now at £71,751.44 :j:j so determined to be sub £70k by the year end :D

    Other than that it's been a thrifty if spendy day and all bills are paid and the fridge and the cupboards are full. The freezer has significant gaps but is still giving:D

    The Christmas decs are up, I've done some exercise and life feels good :D

    Happy Thursday to you :)

    Evening :wave:

    Another spend day as today was my festive day with DD and my niece which was lovely because it's nice to be with them. The crowds however were another matter :eek:
    I went armed with a list and stuck to it so £22 spent on Christmas gifts and I'm done apart from squirty cream for DS's hot chocolate hamper and a card for mum and dad (the card factory was heaving and I just couldn't face it). We took coffee with us for the drive down and emergencies :p but had lunch out (my treat) and mulled wine and mince pies (DN's treat) and parking was £6 for the day. All in all not too damaging and it was budgeted for.

    Other small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    A lie in followed by coffee and reading in bed. This is still my favourite start to the weekend:)

    Great day with the girls and some terrific family news

    Laundry up to date although one load is still drying

    DS survived his first work Christmas night out although he's a touch under the weather :rotfl:

    Stayed strong in the face of so many things I could have got the kids for Christmas and stuck to the list

    Off to read for an hour before lights out:)

    Happy Saturday to you :):)

    Sounds like a wonderful day, and well done for sticking to the list! I've done much better this year with the kids presents, I had a list too and made sure I stuck to it. I am allowing a little more free reign for the stockings but trying to stick to a £10 limit for these so it doesn't get out of hand.

    Thanks lovely folks :A. It was indeed a real treat:)

    Today has been mainly pottering and trying to get ahead as this week is ridiculously busy for all three of us. I don't get many full days at home due to work and being with my dad so I thoroughly enjoyed it, not least because the weather has been gorgeous, cold and bright which is my favourite:D

    Today's small steps to success and wellbeing included;

    A good sleep and a lie in until 8 am:):)

    Coffee in bed whilst reading for half an hour

    Went for a run

    Drank enough water

    Folded one lot of laundry and did another which is drying in front of the wood burner.

    Cheap, healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, omelettes for lunch and sausage casserole for dinner)

    Tomorrow's lunches and and are ready

    Got last few bits for hampers

    Found an item I really, really need on FB selling for £5. They retail at £40 :money:

    Put marzipan and icing on Christmas cakes. Will decorate later this week

    Mum joined us for dinner.

    Had a catch up with my sister

    £37 of paid eBay sales with a few more left to pay. Money is in the os account and more clutter will be gone tomorrow.

    Off for an early night:)

    Happy Sunday to you:):)
