Found my keys not long after. I'd been looking in coat pockets, but forgotten that i'd been wearing a different (smart) coat on Friday as I'd been at a funeral. Keys were safely in the pocket, hung up upstairs, out of the way.

Address book and bike lock key are probably somewhere in the piles of stuff packed up out of the way of the builders... I will be nagging about finishing the office today so I can start unpacking...

I feel your pain! I'm glad the keys were found not long after, at any rate :)

We finished packing the car for Africa, and we included some items for my dh to use when he is there next summer: a shower head, tins of soup, some sets of clothes to wear and leave there, and some towels and wash mitts. Now, those towels.... something was niggling me about them. They were in the attic, brandnew, from my downsizing Aunt and Uncle. Dh saw them, asked when we were ever going to use them, and put them in the 'for Africa' box. Last night, my brain woke up :) The nice new towels are now in our bathroom drawer, and the old almost-raggy ones are in the box :D He can use them and leave them there.

  • I found a new YouTube channel called Sarah Nourse (pronounced nurse) about minimalism and she was talking about 10 things to do before the end of the year. One of them was to get rid of stuff you don't need or want. I thought that I had done that already, obviously.

I looked through my clothes and pyjamas and put the clothes that had a stain or that had bobbling or that I didn't really like to one side.

Shockingly, I found 19 items to give to a clothes recycling charity!

I also found some old carpy coat hangers to chuck along the way.:)

  • Oh yes, it was funny as I buy teddies from charity shops for my dog to rip up, but I kept a little teddy bear I found a few months ago for myself as it was really cute.

I nearly lost it as I put it on the floor in a basket as I was decluttering today as my other dog walked in the room and tried to casually stroll out with the teddy in his jaws.:rotfl:

  • I had some Christmas lights break last night and they had to be binned.:( My tree looks rather unimpressive as it only has one sad string of lights around it now!:D

I put on a red shirt this morning over a black dress and decided I didn't like it so that can go in the charity bag too. I'm going to go through hub's clothes tonight too.

My m-i-l took some things from the house this morning, with our permission, obviously.:rotfl:We got some free chocs that we gave her too.

Air freshener used up and binned. I don't really like using chemicals like that, but we have pets. I might see if there is a non-chemical mist spray or something I can buy instead when before the next one runs out. I do have essential oils so I could put a few drops in a spray bottle of water?

Wednesday i have a bottle of old fashioned Airwick behind our cat's enclosed litter tray, and another tucked under one of the dining room cupboards...they seem to keep any whiffs at bay.
