If you are looking to get rid, consider looking online for guidance on prices for the Take That, Sindy & Barbie stuff and the typewriter ( or maybe offer that to your local Blind Society?)
Thanks, DD had told me they were not worth anything. I did have a quick look on the bay last night and there is a potential for selling. I will check with her when she comes over later.
Anyone have suggestions for 2 dozen flat terry nappies, unused for intended purpose as a fractured vertebra in labour meant that I couldn't put any pressure on the pins and then I got used to disposables.0 -

After KDing a Saturday morning club at the beginning of the year, DD1 is now doing GCSE PE and wants to keep her netball skills up so she can get a good grade. She is by no means the next England player but wants to do well. So the only training nearby that doesn't clash with everything else we do is, you've guessed it, a Saturday morning!
I know I moan as it messes up my routine but I am glad she is thinking ahead. However, it is also at a sixth form centre and one of them places where it is a waste of time for me to come home just for the 30 mins before I set off back to collect her. With this in mind I have decided to 'take' some small KD with me. E.g. I've put all the pens drawer stuff in a bag and will sit going through it!
If you've any other ideas for small things I can do in future weeks then I am open to offers... not really too keen to do things like my undies drawer though as in a public place!!
The other things can be taking a notebook and pen and writing shopping lists, gift lists etc - or even a ToDo list of your next Kondo!Must use my stash up!0 -

I did take some smaller pieces to the textile bank last week but these are really too good to potentially go for ragging.
Fabric - check if a local school etc would take them

Small piles of paperwork - take 3 carriers - keep/ recycle/ shred. Obviously still need to go through the 'keep' pile and action/ file etc another time, but it reduces the volume in meantime
Photos - possibly 3 piles again - keep for you/ keep to give to someone else (eg: pics of an aunt to a cousin)/ go
Notebook to do action plans of what to KM and when
Sewing stuff
If you have small bits of sewing (mine always end up with Cubs/ Scouts/ swimming badges) - take those with you and do. Also works with missing buttons etc.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -

MrsPorridge, my friend has just rung and asked me to take her to Paddington2! The nearest cinema is closing middle of next week and the new one opens in a fortnight. Anyway, I am only avail on Tuesday next so hope that will be OK (am waiting to get through on phone, she's nattering to someone else atm!).
Curtains gratefully accepted in local AgeUK shop, along with a wheeled shopper I used to use for stock when I sold pretty notebooks and other stationery.
Am currently eyeing up 4 dining chairs to go ... ... they are very modern and take up a lot of space that we haven't got. DH resorted to putting one upsidedown on another as his chairdrobe but that is just an eyesore
I have browsed the web and found 3* replacements that would be perfect with the new table (promise to stop mentioning it!). The possible replacements are stacking chairs but in a lovely upholstery of a colour that looks like aged leather. Now i don't want you imagining school chairs, these are rather posh-looking. In fact I was doubtful whether they would stack when i read the blurb, but the pics are there to prove it.
*3 only, because I have a 'Balans' folding 'posture' chair that I can use, thus our chair inventory is kept to a minimum. We can only accomodate 4 for a sit-down meal in dining/kitchen
Am about to swap a couple of pictures round and see how they look. I was given the most fab felt picture of a sleeping Fox, curled up in the bottom of some bushes. I think i have spotted the right location for it. Involves another little shuffle of pictures but fingers crossed that the moves will work out:)I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0 -
Mrs Porridge, OH are planning on going to see Paddington2 next weekend and we're 50s with no kids..
Tibawo, are you a reader? Do you have books you want to KM which need reading first, you could tackle one 30 mins at a time in the car if you run out of better KM wins.Make £2025 in 2025
