    Thank Beanielou

    Today’s Plan

    1. Get up early and do paperwork - fail I’m showered but still in bed !

    2. Sports massage

    3. Back to the arts centre - 2 sessions to sort the props afternoon and evening

    4. Tidy house - in-laws insisting on visiting despite staying elsewhere

    Morning all

Thank you Beanielou and Sunaddict for popping in.

Slower start this morning if not a peaceful one the builders are on the scaffolding opposite and next door . I am really hoping the end is in sight as they’ve been going since March and we live in a sleepy close.

Yesterday - busy one again, sports massage painful and needed although have to confess I wasn’t in the mood for my chatty and tactile therapist ( he’s lovely, not interested in women but sometimes ! )

Then off to the Arts Centre arrived at 2 left just before 9 - straight home to a bath and bed

Didn’t get act together so lunch and supper bought out ( M & S ) and a Chinese both of which OH fetched ... bless him

    So no tidy up......

    Today’s activity’s

Well my morning has started with a cuddle from the Aged Cat which makes me happy as his mobility is getting worse with arthritis :(

    1. Get up - achieved

    2. Stick the ongoing “project” bags and boxes into guest room and shut door achieved

    3. Back to the Arts Centre achieved

    4. possibly see in-laws for tea and cake if I get back in time...... achieved just !

    5. Wash and scrub up achieved

    6. Drive ( OH) to the town where HRM lives to meet up with in-laws for supper ) achieved

    7. Bed ......... achieved

Morning all ( well just )

Been a funny old 12 hours so I’m still in bed, currently with the beloved aged cat, DH has gone to sort coffee and rescue mini snack a cold sausage from the fridge :rotfl::rotfl:

So I have to report all activities from yesterday were completed.

I had a really good day at the arts centre made a lot of progress but was slightly later home then planned .... to find my PIL still here. I was hot sweaty and longing for a bath, and a hot cuppa tea. They apparently were just about to leave to get to their hotel. The greeting I have to say was Luke warm......

Now they live in East Anglia we see them about 4 times a year - as they live very contained lives and visiting is very much Royal visits both ways, neither sons or daughters in law have close relationships with them.

They had been due to come down two weeks ago, but DH had really horrible gastric flu and we had to cancel.

We were also due to meet up with DH brother and family in HRM town half and hour up the road.

When the brothers decided where to meet it was decided HRM town, walking for them, and meant car and wheelchairs for us. Also means 4 people and 2 wheelchairs in the car don’t fit. So if in-laws stayed with us that meant FIL doing an extra hours drive on top of 3 hours to get to us. ( The boys in their planning hadn’t considered this)

So the upshot was still we were driving, hauling out wheelchairs etc but in-laws were staying in pr3mierinn as they never get invited to stay at the other brothers.....

We told them I wasn’t around on the sat, but was free Sun, ( I had ensured I was free for the entire weekend a few weeks ago) this wouldn’t work apparently. )

Then it transpired they were staying out of town a 10 mins drive away, presumably because it was cheaper. Rather then the 5 or 10 min walk from the restaurant we were meeting in.....

Towards the end of the meal I swapped ends to try and catch up with them, for my MIL to announce they were going as their car park ticket was going to breach the next time slot.

Now I know you might be thinking that’s MSE and I would agree, if my in-laws saw their family regularly but they hadn’t seen us since Easter and their other son and grandchildren since last October ( don’t ask!)

I am aware that they must watch their pennies but they Had also announced a 10k trip to Australia and New Zealand....early next year.

I just think it’s so sad...... also I try my best to encourage everyone to see each other, talk and make conversation, as it’s often awkward etc......

After they had gone SIL was moaning they were seeing them again for a couple of hours this morning.

To get me through the evening I had too much vino, a second glass that always has now bad effects on my sleeping.

A nightmare, plus we were awake at 5am drinking tea at 6am, body clock all over the place now

    Dear all rant over

    PS DH shares my frustrations
