Just caught up on the last week or so of your diary - glad you're starting to get better! I'm with you on the not being to take it easy, i cant sit still either! Have to be doing something!
Keeping everyone in the family happy is a constant struggle, so can definitely see your frustrations! But it's good to see DS's have seen the error of their ways. At least F-Dwag doesn't let you down!!MFW - diary has finally arrived!0 -

Thank you Rocket - I am beginning to understand why some say they like animals better than people :rotfl:

I've obviously been thinking about socks a lot as the universe sent me some more yesterday :rotfl: I won a competition for 3 pairs of mohair gardeners' socks :T Not sure whether I'll keep them or Bay them though - they retail at £40
I used the sausages to make Roasted Sausage & Potato Supper in the end. The recipe used up more of the things I needed to use up. There was enough left over for supper yesterday too and I made Butternut Squash Soup with Chilli & Creme Fraiche for lunch which we had with a cheese sandwich.
I cancelled Book Club and also our Radio Times Subscription - they've put the cost up by 25% and I just don't feel I'm getting value for money any more. I don't think I'm going to miss it and it means there's a bit more in the pot this month. I'll probably still buy the Christmas issue though
Many [STRIKE]months[/STRIKE] years ago I taught myself to crochet with the idea that I would make blankets and throws for the house. I did get the hang of it eventually but lost the will to live by the time I got the stitches right. The wool has been gathering dust ever since. Yesterday I picked up the crochet hook again and have started a throw for our bedroom. It's coming along quite well so far and will help to hygge things up in there. It's a big room and still looks a bit spartan.
I'm trying to do a little of everything each day to get back on track. An hour's ironing, a little paperwork, a bit of housework. More ironing is planned today and the living room needs cleaning. I had the fire going a lot whilst waiting for the oil delivery and there is dust everywhere
I have one sore rib left. It's the one that popped and it's improving very very slowly so I'm thinking I might have cracked it after all. It may hold back my return to the outside world as I can't wear a bra over it  and I'm sure there's a law to prevent a woman of my age going out without one :rotfl:
Have a great Tuesday

I know Beanie - I would never have bought them at that price. But I suppose if you are a keen gardener and out in all weathers you want to keep your tootsies warm.INOD - none taken

If you have cancelled book club, why don't you have a look for a crafty group nearby that you can take your crochet too.
I'm part of a group locally and we all help each other out with technique and deciphering patterns, although sometimes we just sit and batter and not much gets done. (But that's because we're all mums of small people and it's the only time we see these people. )Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)
