Very few actually SH - I mainly make things for others. But you've made me think and I might plan to make some things for myself next year.

I have made xmas stuff in the past - like reindeer soap flannels - based on ideas from here etc. I haven't tended to keep any of those.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

So glad to hear about the annexe, and I have no idea what it looks like but in my mind it just sounds cozy from your descriptions. Good call on delaying the blinds. We're also locked in now till Christmas apart from DH picking up his new glasses tomorrow and a visit to the supermarket on Sunday.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20173

Hi Ruby. It's feeling far cosier now I've erased all traces of Uncle F 😆
Mr F has got to go out and pick stuff up that's been ordered (beer, turkey, etc) but will mask up and be in and out quickly. Whether all eight of us make it to the Christmas dinner table is yet to be seen but we are certainly doing our best to get there.

A Day Off
I've given myself the day off today. Well not entirely - just a break from the usual cleaning. Instead, I have completed my favourite Christms task - decorating the cake! I like to take my time with it and the house felt quiet and calm this morning so I took advantage while I could.
We've had pizza for lunch, topped with tuna and sweetcorn, with a side of sweet potato chips. Just something quick and easy because I was late getting lunch started due to aforementioned cake decorating. I'm going to try and do something a bit healthier for supper.
I think I'll iron the Annexe bed linen this afternoon, get the bed made up in there and put a few decs up. Nothing too demanding. I have a video call with a couple of girlfriends this evening so want to do stuff I can just pick up and put down as time allows.
I didn't get time to wrap any presents yesterday so will try and fit that in over the weekend. A friend dropped a present off for me yesterday so I have at least one thing under the tree 😁 And a parcel arrived this morning which I wasn't allowed to open so I suspect I've made it to the Nice List 😁
Hope your preparations are going to plan.
