I hope you’re fine Fortune, but I had AZ followed by Pfizer and despite the nurse saying she was fine with that, I still had the chills and tiredness after my booster. It obviously varies!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Time will tell. I'm a little tired now but I always am this time of night 😆 Mr F has been fine with no side-effects at all except for a sore arm. I'm usually a more troublesome patient but will take some paracetamol before bed and hope for the best.

Weary
I had a good night's sleep last night with no side-effects. Woke up this morning feeling bright and breezy. Then we decided to give FDawg a bath as we realised the odd aroma we could detect was him 🤢 We usually bathe him outside in the courtyard when it's warm enough and take him to our local grooming parlour when it's cold. However, local grooming parlour is fully booked until January so we took him up to the bathroom. He was very good and actually enjoyed it once he'd got over the initial shock. However, it was hard work and there was a lot of cleaning up to do. After which my body said - "No, I'm not going to do this after a booster vaccine, go and have a sit down." So I rustled up a quick lunch (croissants and eggs scrambled with red onion, red pepper, tomatoes, thyme and cheddar plus crispy bacon for Mr F), got Mr F to light the fire and have been sitting in front of the tv ever since. I'm not feeling particularly bad just weak and tired. I'd have probably been fine if I'd taken it easy from the start.
Anyhoo, I have done what I can whilst sitting:- contacted the plumber to ask for an itemised bill
- packaged up the dodgy kitchen paint and contacted the paint company to come pick it up
- contacted D£nby about a voucher I half used with them, the balance of which has now disappeared
- reconciled the credit card account - all is as expected.
If I've got the energy I'll make another curry this evening (I made Turkey Curry yesterday) and that will make four in total which I think is plenty for our Boxing Day curry fest. If not, Mr F might be tasked with making fish and chips from the freezer 😆
On that front, we've decided to cancel any non-essential events between now and Christmas and self-isolate as far as we can. It's a shame as we both had social activities we were really looking forward to but with the Omnimonster gaining pace, we can't take any chances. There are a lot of people relying on us for their Christmas this year and if, we fall over, no-one will be having a merry time. Not only that, but I'm still recovering from the bug I had a few weeks ago. Another virus, Covid or otherwise, would knock me out for a long time so better safe than sorry.
I'm going to find a good film in a minute and cosy up on the sofa.

You're right RT and I did give in to it in the end. I still have quite a lot to do before Christmas so am finding hard to sit still for too long 🙄

Rested
I gave in and had a snooze on the sofa yesterday afternoon which meant fish and chips from the freezer for supper. I'm feeling less tired this morning so will see how I get on.
Our en-suite is out of action again as we have discovered a leak from the toilet cistern. Fortunately, we haven't paid the bill for the recent work so that should give the plumber some incentive to get out to us quickly - although I have to say he is very good about things like this anyway.
I'm intending to potter about today - I might get the guest room finished, wrap some presents, make the last curry - but will see how much energy I have today. I don't want to overdo it and set myself back. I do need to wash Fdawg's beds though. I've done one so will do another today. They take a while to dry so I can't do them all at once.
Have a good Sunday all.

Glad you've resolved your odour problem as relating to the dog. In our case recently - it turned out to be the dog's harness. It smelled so much better once it had gone through the washer!
Sorry you've been struggling with exhaustion. Sounds sensible to cut back on in person stuff. I'm debating what to do about that - but with DD out socialising and out at work - probably is little point for me. I'm meeting someone for lunch tomorrow which I'm really looking forward to. Haven't seen them in person I don't think since the pandemic began.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Back on Track
My energy held out yesterday so I had quite a productive day:- finished prepping the guest room
- had a good tidy up of the house
- made twelve Cumbled Top Mince Pies
- made twelve mini of the same
- I'd made twelve Almond-Topped Mince Pies last week so I think that should be enough
- tested the new annex fridge and it's working as it should so I can transfer Christmas food into there safely
- made Ham, Cheese & Potato Pie and salad for lunch. There's enough left for another two meals
- made Butternut Squash Korma for supper. We ate half and I'll freeze the other half for our Boxing Day curry fest. Although I'll have to make the recipe again to have enough
- contacted the plumber about the en-suite (no reply yet)
- contacted young decorator about a final piece of snagging (he's replied and will let me know when he's next available)
- fed the Christmas cake.
- Mr F worked through all the minor maintenance jobs on his list too 😁
Today I plan to get more cleaning done in the Annex. It's the most pressing task now so, if I can crack that, the pressure will be off a bit. Also clean the box room which will be much easier now it's been de-cluttered. If there's any time left, I'll get some washing and ironing done and perhaps some present wrappping. Oh and chase the plumber 😆
Have a good Monday all
