Eek to the blinds Fortune, that was both quick and presumptuous! Good to hear you're nearly at the end of the annex though, hooray!3

Another one glad to hear you’ve nearly got the annex sorted - it will be such a relief for you to put that debacle behind you.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Getting the annex sorted will clear a lot of mind space I'm sure. These things just sit there in your head.

You're absolutely right guys. I feel as though a great weight has lifted and I've got closure on the whole episode. Plus no more nasty surprises lurking. It will be nice for the Younger Fortunates to be in the space as I know they'll look after things and it will create a different connotation for me. I've just got to tittivate and add some Christmas touches to the place now - but that's the fun bit 😁

Hooray!
The Annexe is clean! I've still got to iron bed linen and make the bed up plus put up a Christmas tree and a few decs. But, the grunt work is done. There were a few nasty surprises left for me 🙄 but I won't gross you out with the details here. What a relief. I'd left all the heating on full to dry the floors out and, when I went back in to turn it down, everywhere looked cosy and smelled clean and fresh. It's a pleasure to go in there now. Finally - closure 😁
We had a sausage casserole from the freezer for supper. I knew I'd be exhausted by the end of today and I'm also trying to free up some freezer space for Christmas goodies.
D£nby came through with the voucher 😁 so I ordered the final Christmas present on my list and sent it direct. So all Christmas presents have been bought, some have been wrapped and a few have been delivered. I should get time tomorrow to wrap the rest.
I also ordered a carving board from D£nby - not with vouchers (I didn't have enough) but it was in the sale. Being largely vegetarian, I'd realised we didn't have anything to carve the turkey on 😆
I'm going to start on the house cleaning tomorrow but it shouldn't be as hard work as the Annexe. Plus I'll be able to intersperse the boring stuff with some Christmas fun stuff.
Just a bath and an early night for me tonight though. I haven't got any energy left for anything else.

Very few actually SH - I mainly make things for others. But you've made me think and I might plan to make some things for myself next year.
