Nargle pet, at least now it's been found out and is being dealt with xxxx
I always wanted to see HongKong, ever since watching Bruce Lee (over and over and over with my sons) :D
Re the DLA, it had to happen one day. I managed before I had it so I can manage again. Going to appeal anyway. Just wish I had the energy to care - because right now I don't.
Monna I know how you feel on the royal wedding. I am sick to the back teeth watching silly boggers gushing all over the tv, fawning and palpitating and all but wetting themselves. What other country does this? NONE. It's hysterical. Or they are :rotfl:

Actually Mar, they seem to be doing a fair amount of fawning and palpitating in America, according to one report Ive seen. But there, its not happening on their shores so they may be forgiven. However, I will be watching the showy bit. I'm not missing the sight of the household cavalry in all their glory.

Nargleblast, at least you know the situation now and once you know what you're dealing with you can start being positive. I may be wrong, but I always find uncertainty more frightening than knowledge. Hopefully you won't be getting any more shocks and can get on with the the process of helping your DH back to good health.

Nargleblast I do know how much having everyone's good wishes helps. And if we help you a little in turn then for me that is paying it forward
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Hugs to you Nargleblast and get well wishes for Mr Nargle, you have a very positive attitude to the situation. Knowing what's ahead is definitely better than guessing.

Isn't this weather wonderful? I have been cleaning the driveway (monabloc) for the past few weeks, just an hour or so after work and today I got to play with the pressure washer! It's all clean and re-sanded, just have to paint the front step tomorrow and the front of the house will look spic and span. It's been back breaking work but looks worth the effort. I did get a bit fed up of neighbours and passers by asking if I was still going. Well, yes I was!

Hope the poorlies are feeling better, bad news mar, the system is very unfair at times.

Nargle, another shock but the medics can deal with it. Positive vibes humming over from me x
Maryb, hope DH is gaining confidence and strength daily.

Busy today, even though only 1.5 hours of paid work! Had my more-salt-than-pepper hair cut and it looks nice :). Got a new watch strap and a new battery for my other watch. Did some shopping for my elderly neighbour. Had lunch with a dear friend. Helped DH finish painting the fence posts and made broccoli soup for tea.

Low-carb eaters - I used soya flour in a scotch pancake recipe, left out the sugar, and it made a nice bread-like texture that I am going to use to make mini pizzas.
I also bought a crispy duck (YS!) to freeze so we can have it as our anniversary meal next week :D

DH is away tomorrow so i shall muck out the house and (hopefully) re-jig some craft stash to better use small space in the multipurpose room.
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

Just back from the Wythanshawe, left just after 9am so very long day. Appointment is about 10 mins. Long way to go for so short a time.

Been almost knocked over but managed to stop myself at least 10 times by Men wearing big heavy backpacks and not looking before they move. I am in agony from head to toe. My back has been very bad with sciatica down both legs and could hardly put one foot in front of the other. The backpacks are getting worse. They just swing round and you go flying.

I got home to an awful stink in the hallway to the flats. One refugee family have been just throwing their rubbish on the top landing. It is six weeks since the bins were emptied as well. I opened my flat door to find next door and the top floor both playing loud music so I have thump thump thump to add to everything.

Sorry about the rant. I have no one else to tell. DS blinds were closed when I went past coming home. He will have gone to bed ages ago he is back at work tomorrow.

Nargleblast I hope your DH does not have too bad a time with thechemo. At least you know the worst. I had a very aggressive cancer. I had been feeling vaguely ill for about 4 months but no symptoms to take to the Dr. My tumour was the size of a roll of kitchen towel. No wonder I was off my food.

I was going to just have a light tea and going to bed but I will have to wait. Would you believe I can hear kids shouting above it all the other noise.

I have to go to the Christie on Monday for a scan and another appointment on Thursday. They're not letting me pace myself at all.

Fingers crossed for your DVL mar. I think they all get told to save some money so they pick on the sick and disabled because it is easier. Especially when we are older too.

Hugs to MrNargle, good job they did take out the lymph nodes in the end, fingers crossed for the CT. They're on it now at least.

Nursemaggie, I despair when I see people inconsiderately knocking other folk around, sorry you've been like a pinball today. I had to jump out the way of a lad on the pavement on a skateboard yesterday, made me shudder to imagine if I'd been 30 year older.

Mardatha, we could appeal on your behalf, that is if we still had the threat of the elephant.... but I'm not to mention where he went :D

Ivyleaf, I'd be happy enough flying back and forth, with some scenery in between. But I always was an eager traveller :o I even love airports. I'd love Hong Kong too, I have a list of places I want to go... but my once a year trip to my mum takes all time and money right now.

MMF007, I haven't looked at soya flour, we're presently using flaxmeal and almond meal a fair bit. Made the most lovely pancakes the other day (then made my boss jealous when I told her I'd topped them with double cream and blueberries!).

VJSmum, woohoo for the trousers! :j I'm wearing my super expensive silk pants which I got from the charity shop and they are now comfy too.

Hubby is currently playing with his birthday pressie (bought early in a sale, his birthday isn't for a couple of months!). We're going to the food and wine festival today and though I'm sticking low carb, I won't be calorie counting today. Cheese me up baby!

Cannot believe this run of good weather, constant unending sunny days and nice cool mornings with a wee touch of frost.
