Hope it wasn’t one of those 10 kilogram sacks of rice they sell in Tesco. I think we can all agree you are in a better place now!One life - your life - live it!0 -
fuddle - thank goodness your DD is now in the right school, if this harsh winter weather materialises then you won!!!8217;t have to worry about the long trek to school every morning (although schools often shut the doors in bad weather). One life - your life - live it!0

Oh lyn I do hope you have better luck than us. I'm really excited for you because it must have been difficult after living in the same house for so long. You even get to accept the drawbacks with a house you have lived in a long while. Not that I have ever stayed anywhere for long. I would love to live in one house again but there is no way I could afford over a million. I am sure it will be worth that now.
I will pray for you and keep everything crossed I do so hope you will get it and that when you get there you will settle in well and have good neighbours. Enjoy being near your girls.
Fuddle I knew she would be OK today I did not have to even give her good wishes. Your girls seem to have their heads screwed on right. You should be proud of them. It's all down to you.
Oh help it feels like the world is stamping on my head. The housing association is going to do something but not for a few more weeks. I called them this afternoon. Ever since I put the phone down they have been deliberately stamping on the floor as hard as they can all of them even the adults. They must be able to understand English and be able to hear us speak. We never heard anything but one child jumping with the two tenants before them.
Sorry for the rant again!
Softstuff It was so funny but I am sure you did not think so when you did not know what it was. It reminds me of when were went to Egypt on holiday. We went to Luxor and a cruise on the Nile. As I went down the steps into one tomb, the one next to King Tut. I felt something run down my back. I was trying not to scream and embarrass myself with the rest of the party. I put my had on my back were I could feel it and it was only a big drop of sweat. It's very hot in the valley of the Kings.
I must be getting tired I am typing in anagrams. The letters are all there not in the right order.
Hester That man should have been put down at birth. I have been thinking about it all day. I am so sorry you have had to suffer so. I don't know how you have stayed so sane.0 -

OMG Hester, that's awful.
Fuddle, hip, hip, hooray! What a brave Fuddlette
Softstuff, loved the gecko dancing story! :rotfl:
So today was mad busy again! I was on my feet again all day except for about 6 minutes. I did 3.5 hours solid of housework, including all the usual and then handwashing shoe insoles (!) and fashioning those little wedding cake boxes and finding several 'lost' items, oh, and opening a stubborn jam jar.
Then I shopped for my neighbour.
The last 2 hours were spent taking a very elderly lady out in a wheelchair and navigating the high street and several smallish shops ( a nightmare that has left my arms completely kna**ered). Eventually we got a coffee courtesy of W8rose. I dropped off some stuff at my auntie's and crawled home. Good job it was leftovers for tea

Uncross everything AT ONCE Hester, or all your muscles, tendons, bones and things will get all knotted up and stay there.I believe that friends are quiet angels

So, I think we're all keen to send Nursie round to Hesters ex. I believe she has a few tricks to show him he might not enjoy as much. *hugs* Hester, if I were you I'd be on my knees with joy just at the sight of CHS now.
Monna, the funny part to my story is that had I known it was a gecko, I wouldn't have been so bothered. They're rather adorable and our place is fairly full of them, mostly because unlike other households we've done nothing to get rid. Every gecko poop is another bug I'm not keen on. Good luck with the viewing.
Fuddle, so happy for your DD, glad it's working out now.
Nursemaggie, I don't know how they have the energy, I hope you find something better soon.
So last night I went to bed looking like a demented geisha. Instead of an obi tied around my waist I tied a stiff foam covered leg roller. This worked as odd as it sounds as a method for stopping me rolling onto my back. I didn't think a tennis ball would have done the trick and I was right.... at one stage I woke up like a demented turtle trying to turn over, evidently in my sleep the urge to roll is fairly strong and I'm not a small delicate flower. Anyhoo, going to fashion something a little better in stiff foam (you can buy em, from $100 and up).Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
I have a few empty cotton reels the old sort if you want them softstuff. They used to sew them onto mens pyjamas to stop them snoring. Actually anything hard should do as long as you are able to sew them on tightly to your nighty. I think you would probably just take it off in your sleep though.
The stiffest bumpiest thing I can think of is a baby doll. It's fingers would did in your back and make you turn back on your side sharpish. You would need one for each nighty or a way of taking it off and back on easity for washing. I can't type for laughing now at the thought of you having a doll laid face down on your back every night.
I nearly forgot again monna good luck with your next viewing.0
