Thank you all for your kind thoughts. I have spoken to mum and the neighbours have already rallied round, driving her to hosp, ringing other folk to pass on the news and making cups of tea. My brother is going to fly up in 3 days time, to make sure she gets some rest (she will try and do everything at once!) and support her in lots of ways. I am much relieved about that.

I shall drive up in Feb and stay with her for a week.

    Checking in as sick today:(

I had a feeling yesterday I was coming down with something as my stomach hurt and for me that is always the first sign.

I'm cold, shivery and achy with a headache etc.

I really don't want to be poorly:(

karcher I don't want to alarm you but it could be flu. Stay in bed, keep warm, keep the fluids up. If you have anything like Lemsip take that, if not paracetamol will do. If there is anyone within reach that you can call on, give them a ring and explain the situation, ASK FOR HELP.

Keep in touch with us. We may not be able to reach you physically but we are here to support you in every other way.
