I decided to read last night instead of rambling on here.

I'm now trying to decide what to wear for my market research interview, do I go as an elderly hippie, mad boat lady or do I pretend to be normal?

I have two family problems to worry about and I can't see either being resolved before Christmas, so I have a few weeks of worrying ahead.

until the situations are resolved I cannot talk about them so it means the worrying just intensifies.

Islandmaid, I'm glad she didn't find them. MILLIE + mincepies would not be a happy combination.

I forgot to reassure panda that whatever happened to my oven door was almost certainly not due to over use of Oven Pride. I might go as far as to say that the relationship between Oven Pride and my oven door is tenuous in the extreme. They are but distant acquaintances. In fact I don't think they would recognise each other if they met.

Thank you for giving me such an excellent excuse though. I have filed it away for future use.

Dashing round the SM today for the club's childrens christmas party. I've also got to wrap up all the selection boxes, buy birthday cards and organise for our weekend away - better get my arris in gear!

No feedback, SS, my replacement was given to understand I'd left in mysterious circumstances, until she was eventually told by someone else that I had retired.

I'm back from my market research it was about chewing gum, the three other participants had travelled 30 or 40 miles each way so that must eat in to the £50

Now it's on with my exciting life, cleaning, crochet, eBaying and trying to repair a hearing aid!

Mind now doing quick calculation of time taken to drive 60-80 miles (ie that needs to have cost of that time covered) and the petrol for a car presumably coming out of that £50....mind boggling.

But for an opportunity 10 minutes walk down the road - total time taken 10 minutes + 30 minutes + 10 minutes and no transport costs = where do I sign up?:rotfl:I don't eat sweets - but that's a minor issue....

It is just over 5 miles from where I'm moored and where I had to be, and I took CHS to the bus stop on the way as he has gone to meet up with his sober brother.
