oh bless him, hopefully painkillers and antibiotics will start to work soon .   awful stuff . 

I'm enjoying 10 mins with a coffee , the house is quiet . everyone else is out for the night .  I've repotted plans and re-thought my horrid day at work . think I've come to the conclusion most people now have no manners or common sense.    hey ho . 

tonight plans are now to run . 
I'm nearly finished my round the English coast  challenge  2970km   ( 1845 miles ) should be done tonight . so technically since January if your in England I've been somewhere near you

I wish you really did end up near me burtha.  We could have put our feet up and had a good chat. Mind, your feet might have been a bit dampish if you had run across the sea to get here.

Sorry about your DH Mrs CD.  Of all pains I think toothache is the one I dread most.

Can I join in with Nargle and wish all fencers a Happy New Year.  I don't think there will be many tears shed over the passing of 2021.

Happy New Year to all, and here's hoping it will see the end of covid this time around.
My DD has just told me about the1000 outdoor hours challenge. It's mainly aimed at primary children, but it could benefit everyone to get outside a bit more, perhaps. I'm going to try to spend more time outdoors next year and hopefully it will help with general wellbeing.

has everyone survived new year  . 
my house seamed to be very busy with 18/19 year olds yesterday.  . lots of game's getting played   so think they had fun . 
today has been a day to putting Christmas stuff away and clean.  .. now everything is now looking fresh .  
pity it won't last very long lol .

Gordon Bennett burtha, I remember those days of having a house full of teenagers.  Still have the scars.  They used to come for the weekend and still be there 3 years later.  It's when I honed my ability to cater for large numbers at the drop of a hat.
At my eldest sons wedding, his best man was one of those whose face frequently appeared at my table and he sat next to me during the reception and spent the whole evening apologising for how he felt he had abused my hospitality.  He didn't know how I'd put up with them all.
Looking back on it, neither do I.
Still, I was younger then.

I do hope that this year is better than last for most of us.
