I think some local libraries give you free access to Ancestry and you may be able to access it onlineIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!7

Mary, I have tried but my grandmother's maiden name was Montgomery Irvine. I can't find any with that name but the Irvine clan is huge! Needle in a haystack as I have very little information with dates etc.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle7

Silva - I will PM you later. I have ancestry and can see a couple of Montgomery Irvine and Montgomery-Irvine. Mainly US and Canada but one or two in London and Ireland.

I always wondered where the odd bit of common sense came from Ming.
Now I know. It's the teaspoonful of English blood in you.
burtha, good luck with explaining this thread to the frog. I don't even understand it, let alone try to describe it in any meaningful way to an outsider.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, just take another shot.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Have trouble remembering how to fly.12 -
Hester - lovely view.
Very discombobulated today. Got up early after taking ages to nod off in the early hours - knew we had workmen arriving - they were late after loading their van. Then it turns out - they didn't bring a trestle with them so now the job is being done next week. I think a nanna nap is in order.
Another jellyfish finished - given up trying to make them look like an octopus.
