I've just read through umpteen dozen posts and am feeling bemused.
Mothernerd, lots of hugs to you. You've known tough times, are still going through tough times, but still able to post and cheer us all up.
Ming, Crocodile Shoes??? Frozen elephant??? The constant relaying of patios??? For goodness sake wumman! What are we to do with you?
Answers on a postcard please.
Pollyanna, did I ever tell you how much I love you?
Here life is slightly full and bizarre. I am still auditioning for an episode of 'Hoarders.' This morning I cleared the top of a wardrobe and bagged up 55 handbags and 14 purses. These will go with the 2 bin bags already full of handbags.
Thank you for asking about the funeral. It was fantastic. David took the service himself and was calm, dignified and in control all the way through. The only time I heard a quiver in his voice was when the coffin was disappearing from view and he watched it and said, "Goodbye, my darling girl."
Then a friend and I took him out to dinner followed by a tour of the Island, (his idea) driving through floods and such torrential rain that you couldn't see a thing.
This morning a great mutual friend came to coffee. He has terminal cancer, though you would never know if you spent any time in his company. At one point I was struck by the fact that there were the 3 of us. One 94 year old who had just said goodbye to his lifetime's companion, one 80 year old with a terminal illness and not expected to see Christmas, and me, horribly healthy with not a thing wrong with her and we were all screeching with laughter and screaming like complete nutters. I am blessed with wonderful friends.
Sorry to be missing so much, but I hope that life will sort itself out soon.
Until it does, please hang on in there.

Until it does, please hang on in there.2nd attempt. Lovely to see you Monna well done to David yourself and his friend she was obviously a much loved lady. You have wonderful friends and a cracking sense of humour. We promised to look after this old fence. It seems to have taken on a new lease of life and reminds me of some of the old tougher threads we remember so fondly. Lots of chat familiar faces and we seem to have aquired at least one crocodile if not more.Questions regarding that to the usual no1 suspect on a postcard and good luck with that. She was supposed to be in Whitehall on special duties but seems to be here touting for jelly babies. The wee minx.We will wait patiently for your return. Amy Pond and I will be sitting on a shared suitcase waiting for our Drs unless the Mng has taken the suitcase on a secret mission we really don't want to know the details of.Sleep well and take care monna until you return once more.polly who needs to go to bed.X

Another scorcher up here, 23C at 10am. I'm back in the recliner in front of a fan.An electric fan, not a Ming vase fan.Sadly.8

MrsCD - Thanks for the worry worm info.
I made a quick Birthday card this morning.
Plan a day in after our shopping trip yesterday. I used to be able to gad about two days in a row but now I need a rest day in between.
Finished another scarf.

Ming now, now, calm yourself or have a cold shower. I should have known you'd pick up on the mention of those soft sugar jelly sweets in the shape of plump babies.😋 Silly me 😁Monna missing your wise words. Take care of yourself.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10
