nursemaggie - it is a difficult situation - monnagran  - as we all would - will want to be there for her grieving friend.
The black shawl was not easy to work on - the yarn colour made the stitches hard to see - especially when doing the picot edge. I had to keep saying to myself - this shawl is raising money for the SA. 
I have just finished an autumnal colours shawl.

What am I doing on a wet afternoon at the seaside?
Making a dangly funky spider - of course.
I have made spiders on elastic in the past and they were popular but I used black fabric. Decided that some bright colours might encourage the spider shy at the craft fair to part with their money. I plan to make 30 so only 29 to go.
No idea why this spider has decided to be upside down!

Floranceem you can get special lamps with bright bulbs to work with dark colours. Some are a bit expensive but there are cheaper models as well.

nursemaggie - I have one of those lamps on a stand - bought it quite a few years ago - treated myself to a really good make. It does help but natural daylight is best.

I am setting up my production line. All the legs measured and cut.
Next I will mark and cut out the circles. I have 4 colours of this fabric.

Lurk but dont often post. I do hope Monna doesn't  exhaust herself supporting David, it's not just physically it's the emotional toll too.

Burtha, like Monna I'm so pleased you have this episode finally over, I remember very well when the fit hit the Shan for you and your children and what an appalling situation the 3mw left you all in. Be very proud of all you've achieved for you and your family.

Florenceem  - love your black shawl even though it must have been a bit of a pig to work on. Loving the spider, I like spiders anyway envious of your crafting talents.

House hunting today. Only one house we liked and that's in a bit of a dodgy area. As for the rest -how can people live in such a mess? 
I was so worried  when we put ours on the market as the kitchen is quite old but after viewing  houses with piles of shoes in the hall, clothes all over the bedrooms and jungles in the garden I think ours is actually  quite good. I wish we could stay where we are but we do need to move nearer our family.

Morning all - just am as I start this post.
Much cooler here which I like.
I have a parcel arriving today - more yummy yarn.
Still in my pjs - must get in the shower.
I had a sort out of my makes bags yesterday and in the evening did some work on the hooded poncho which recipient wanted longer.

My yummy yarn has arrived - such pretty colours - they are for crochet baby blankets - a new thing for me - not something that I have ever made..
I finished a scarf. I must get my number of wips down.
Off to have my shower now.
