Florence ~ Good question. I don't think I know the answer to it. I'd describe myself as happy, but dsis I no longer know about, as we see each other less and less, as she has an extremely busy social life/hobby, I'm guessing this makes her happy but we're not close enough for me to know anymore.9

MollyWindley - I think no one can know if someone else is really content or just playing a part.
Another day - another shawl done - looks like my stock will build up well as Boris will go for a 4 week delay - so says info from a family member who knows someone with a pal in Fleet Street.

Not confirmed yet but mid July is looking very likely Florence unless he's going to go against strong advice from the Scientists. That's another lovely shawl if you weren't raising funds you'd do very well with an Etsy shop.Sometimes families drift apart Molly, not nice but distance and different lifestyles can be a factor. Often it can be difficult to get back to a normal relationship after a long time.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

afternoon all .
thought I'd posted late last night , but can't find it .... who knows lol .
I'm been very good and sitting still for 10 mins . never stopped all day , lots of walking, then a food shop .
currently sitting in the sun ,birds are coming down for food and I'm watching 12 towels drying on the line...
how many towels is normal ? I seam to wash at least 3 a day on top of the weekends load . .
is it weird that I'm looking forward to dusk ...
reasons 1 . I.can run with the dog .
2 . I have made a large wooded heart ,made from twigs and pine cones , it's now on the garden wall , with fairy light that will twinkle ... and I think it looks fabulous.
Boris decision will make no real impact for me , so I'll wait and see but dought it will be straightforward news .
hope everyone's having a nice day x

I went with my friend this morning for a cuppa, knit and natter in our local coffee shop. First time since my back yard birthday cuppa last year. Today is National knitting in public day so we made the most of it, and the owner took a photo of us to put on their face book page! 😂 Other customers were asking about our projects and needles, and how we do different things. We lost track of time and suddenly it was two hours later and I had to go home to make lunch. Lovely day.
Must go and get the washing in off the line!

MrsCD, I didn't know that there was such a thing as National Knitting in Public Day. If I'd known I would have taken my Christmas Stockings out on to the front lawn. I'm sure the public would have been thrilled to be reminded of Christmas on a hot June day.
Nothing planned for today, except church this morning. After that I'm going to be thoroughly selfish and please myself what I do or don't do. No flat clearing or cleaning, no doing anything for anyone but myself. I feel decadent.
THOUGHT FOR SUNDAY
Sometimes you need to thank God for what didn't happen.
Thank him for the things he has stopped that you knew nothing about.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Have trouble remembering how to fly.13 -
No church for me today unfortunately, as my back is very painful this morning. I think it's because I'm doing an exercise to strengthen the muscles, and apparently that means it gets worse before it gets better
but it will be worth it! 9 -
Back from Church - glorious weather here.
I want to finish the black shawl today.
Been asked to knit a baby cardigan for a gift - not knitted for a while - may suggest a crochet blanket instead.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I'd never heard of National knit in public day monna so I asked Mr Google. It's international knit in public day and was started in 2005. Something I've found quite cheering during the past year and a bit has been knitters who've made bunting to cheer up trees and fences and those who've made replicas of their villages , woods and coastal areas.I recognise the it will feel worse before it starts to improve when it comes to physio and exercise ivyleaf. Do you have a heat pad or wheat bag? It can help ease the pain.I did yoga and Tai Chi for years and it did help the joints and muscles, just basic yoga not the advanced levels. I found Tai Chi good both physically and mentally but as the Fibro got worse so did my memory and I couldn't remember the moves!Chair yoga is better and most of the time I can manage that however if you have Osteoporosis I wouldn't recommend trying any exercise without checking it is ok with either GP or Physio.Your heart sounds lovely burtha I have a real thing about hearts. Fabric ones , Wooden ones and Metal there are a lot in this house including bedding . One of my favourites is the Emma Bridgewater large mug with hearts and my name on . I watched that being made in the pottery in Stoke, I had to wait for it to be fired and glazed before I could take it home but it arrived parcelforce a few days later. Dd1 wasn't stuck for gifts for a few years as she went through the hearts collection. I never drank out of the mug I'm famous for dropping things so it sits on the Welsh dresser along with my Brambly Hedge and Susie Watson collection. I have Welsh love spoons from tiny to large crafted in wood by a lovely man in Wales called Elwyn. I never met him but he was a true craftsman, all communication was phone and snail mail- those were the days.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
