In the early hours of Saturday morning we had what we thought was an injured haggis brought in, but after listening to the wee thing shouting 'fair fa' your honest sonsie face....... Wee sleekit cow'rin tim'rous beastie....' and 'some hae meat and canna eat' repeatedly for 2 hours, it was obvious he was suffering from severe burns. We started him on an irn bru intravenous drip, hot toddies, and shortbread fed little and often.By Saturday night he was looking much better.By Sunday morning he was starting to smile and looked like a totally different haggis.By this afternoon he had finished the shortbread and the full bottle of whisky, was grinning from lug to lug and is completely away with the fairies. We hope to sober him up and release him onto the Lomonds tomorrow.

Please excuse me butting in but I need to comment on the Cheap Energy Club. I probably will comment in a more suitable thread. They say I am paying too much and could save £25. I have only just moved 9 weeks ago, I have not even got my payment from MSE. The cheapest are £48 a year more than I'm paying now. On top of that I would have to pay £30 to get out of my present contract and lose my payment for switching with MSE . I only have to pay for electric, it's just lights, cooking and my computer. My heating comes in with my rent because we have a communal boiler and we have a laundry. I don't have a TV.7

Is that £25 a month you would save NM or £25pa? Sorry my head is bit mashed by a certain woman with a vase on her head. When you say you've moved is that to the MSE deal? Speaking of MSE suggests it is.so it reads you would lose £30 to get out of the contract and lose the switching payment too.Who is saying you are paying too much?Is that MSE. I can't figure out if you moved 9 weeks ago to them. Can you clarify things?pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Has that other Ming gone? Just wondering if it's safe to come out yet. I shoudn't have told her about RAF Typhoons.it's the only way I can think of to get to Kent and back with seaside rock. I can cope with the Ms but she's not exactly subtle. Two identical rare and priceless vases ,now that's very rare.I've been thinking of Freddie Mercur singing I'm going slightly mad. I know the feeling.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Polly present payment £20 per month, now would be £24. MSE will pay me in a few weeks £12.50 for switching with them. I would not get this for not being with my present provider for more than 13 weeks.Annual extra payment £48 per year + £12.50 loss of payment from MSE + £30 payment to get out of my present contract which still has over a year to run.Total loss to me of £90.50 How is that a £25 gain to me?It makes no sense at all!Why can't you figure out if I just switched 9 weeks ago that's what I said?Yes MSE says I can save £25 a year. It's MSE who can't add up.4

I joined the cheap energy club on the day it started. I'm very glad I did not join the new one which switches you automatically.

pollyanna_26 said:Thank you for todays thought monna. Very of the moment.Methinks someone hasn't been busy flicking a duster fron her bed in the general direction of furniture or ordering the resident spiders to rearrange their webs in an artistic fashion as the festive season is over , spray on glitter is so yesterday and a good coating of dust adds a certain touch of low maintainance class until the festive season arrives again.Someone has been reading MEMES.pollyx
I can't imagine who you are talking about Polly, but I CAN imagine that at this very moment someone is blowing the dust off her wax figures and prising drawing pins out of the wall.
That certain someone has a tablet that thinks she should be 'praising' her drawing pins. I tell you. It's not everyone who has praiseworthy drawing pins.
Where was I?
Oh yes. I have no idea where Nursie is. Last I heard she was keeping Henri de Vac company in GreyQueens cupboard. Of course, I have a lot of boxes unopened since moving a year ago. If she has secreted herself in one of those she may be there sometime.
Unless, of course, I send the lot to the Chazzer unopened. A nice surprise for the worthy volunteers when Nursie leaps out all ready for action.
Oh fish hooks! I've just noticed that there are pages ahead that I've not read yet.I believe that friends are quiet angels
