Today is the second anniversary of my Mam's death and I still miss her so much.
 I am so glad that I spent time with her talking about her childhood and her family. I sat and asked her questions and recorded it all on my phone, so when she died I had a few anecdotes about her that my cousins never knew. I now have it all saved in numerous places so I don't lose it, and have emailed to my daughters so they can hear their Grandma if they ever want to! I've done the same with my Dad, and I learned a lot about his National Service years in Singapore. I would encourage everyone who has someone special to do this while they still have the time.

I  wish I had some record of my mum's voice, I cant even remember her voice now. And barely my dad's.

My dad is still on my mum's answering machine. She got a new one, but made sure that we recorded my dad's message first and transferred it to the new one. So we an all hear his voice whenever we like, which is lovely.

I agree monna about the little snapshot memories.

There is standing joke in this family about Mums book. For decades I've been muttering One day I'll write the book. I used think I had a neon arrow pointing at my head as bizarre things happened, dodgy consultants one was removed from the medical register and many other things that many others didn't experience . needless to say I never had the time or energy to write the book.

One unwise daughter mentiond the book last Autumn suggesting it was a perfect time as I was at a loose end. I can't remember ever having a loose end. I may be mainly at home but there are things to monitor and deal with.

Bilston is good to start the day with I find he is just right for whatever is happening in life.

I loved your Thought for the Day and was never bored. Sometimes thoughtful often amused and some mornings screaming with laughter. I had to remember not to have my morning brew in my hand when reading.

I would love to see it back . Cometh the hour cometh the monna.

thought of the day would be wonderfull again monna . 
frog has been doing short videos of his dad talking about his early life , his parents,  first job , family life , war and how he remembers seeing his dad for the first time late 1945 aged 10 .. 
if nothing else lockdown hopefully can be used to record family history . 

gold party sounds interesting,  although I'm not sure about the James bond stuff , dont really like bond films .. but its a start . .. 
was planning on doing 2 marathons and 3 half marathon this year , in 4 different countries.  .. 
now I'm planning on something else maybe ... ok so this may sound odd but ... maybe I could run to see you ? .. give me the area you live  , I'll work out the miles and run from here to you ... I'm going from the start of Jan so I'm already 78 miles on route to someone ... looking forward to planning it out lol .. last year I ran 1534 miles ,
virtual run to fencers 2021 .

I just had a bath with Wallander!!  We've got fairly heavy snow so i don't think we'll be going out today.
