Take no notice Mar, can I adopt worn to a splinter? It's better than wiped out.
Monna's right he's had a fright and it takes time to get back confidence. You'll have to be Saint Mar a while longer.

ETA It's a pity you don't watch tv. I'm loving Mr Pratchetts Good Omens on BBC2. Another role David Tennant was born to play. Michael Sheen makes a good angel too.It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

TV in this hoose Polly is limited to the soaps (YEUGH), John Wayne (BLEUGH) and Sons of Anarchy, which is ok. Nice bikes and good music but quite boringly bloody.
Today I've had my nose buried in Sherlock Holmes, and a purple sock. I know how to party1 -
Sherlock Holmes and a Purple Sock would be a good mystery. I can't stand soaps or anything with Celeb in the title. I do remember the RVs Sky during the heavy snow at least that was a giggle.
Onwards and forwards this too shall pass!
Why on earth do they keep naming these flippin' storms? Just watching the forecast. At least plenty of advance warning this time.

Are it will probably have changed before the weekend. I never believe a weather forecast beyond 24 hours. Half the time it tells me the temperature is higher than it is here where I can see and feel the weather, it will tell me it's raining when it's sunny and raining when its sunny. If it can't get now right why look 4 or 5 days ahead.2

Do you watch the NW weather forecast NM? When we lost the lovely Diane it seemed the sun would never shine again but Owain Wyn Evans is amazing. He and Larry the No10 cat are about the only things to raise a laugh among all the political madness.
Owain with his sharp suits with fabric flowers and little dances makes me laugh, mind you often I'm so busy looking at him I can't remember the forecast. he does a good flounce!

I've just noticed some unintended poetry "Monna's right he's had a fright" I blame Brian Bilston! As today is International Meteorologist day. I had todays offering in my head.
He's doing a mini book tour in the NW tomorrow, not near enough to me sadly. I'm now wondering how the Banksy of Poetry remains anon. Does he wear a disguise or a bag over his head?

No Polly I sometimes watch BBC weather and I have a shortcut to BBC weather for Bolton on my computer. I don't watch North West News. I read my local paper on line. We will have been in Bolton for 6 years in March.5

I'm a bit out of the loop NM .Now you've got the housing you needed did you meet up with any like minded people? I remembered you were hoping there'd be some knitters etc.
I'm so glad you got away from that flat.

Yes there is a group who call themselves a knitters group but only one knits and she is 90 and the rest are pretty close.
I'm not in the area I was looking for I'm a bit farther out but it's so nice I had to move here. I was also offered a flat in one of the schemes I wanted two days after this one and another one a ground floor flat in the middle or the area I wanted.
I decided to take the opportunity to change housing associations so I am in a very nice area. It's worth being a bit further from the shops. I love it here.
There are a few younger ones moving in lately. When I'm happy to sit with them in a few years maybe some of them will be knitters.5 -
Good to hear you are happy and settled Nursemaggie. Is your son with you?5
