We were the same last year Pooky when we moved it was 29th August and I rehomed my jam and chutney stash before we moved as they wouldn't have been happy for weeks in boxes at this end and them realised I had got rid of all the jam jars too! so no chutney made last autumn and it felt wrong. I shall be making plum jam from our own plums and have the makings of chutney in tomatoes courgettes and home grown onions too all I need to source is some apples which is a little early now but in a month we'll be seeing them up for sale or the drops in boxes being given away and then it will feel right again.
