Thank you dear monna we got all the important stuff done and now no appts until Monday so time for these ABs to get to work .
I confess I put the perishables away but for the rest I summoned my inner Scarlett - tomorrow is another day .

DH reckons there is, he's Irish. You can also get a white pudding in Cornwall and IIRC that one has actual pieces of grain in it.

ETA just looked at the wiki article, the Irish pudding DH prefers looks smoother than the picture. He's also a bit particular about getting butcher white pudding rather than any of the supermarket versions. Any family visiting Ireland or from Ireland are hounded to bring some back .

In Devon it's known as 'Hogs' pudding' and has barley in it...
