DH reckons there is, he's Irish. You can also get a white pudding in Cornwall and IIRC that one has actual pieces of grain in it.
ETA just looked at the wiki article, the Irish pudding DH prefers looks smoother than the picture. He's also a bit particular about getting butcher white pudding rather than any of the supermarket versions. Any family visiting Ireland or from Ireland are hounded to bring some back.
