Why have you cancelled your cards? ,,,are you alos known as sheila?Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
Two things that many people don't know about contactless and both bad:
1. Takes an extra day for funds to leave account
2. Some banks don't take off the money off available balance.
I work in retail and seen customers say they have £80 in the account and why isn't it taking a £20 payment. I ask them have they used their card. She said yes. In the process, we worked out she had only £15 left. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Sorry but I just don't believe the OP's scenario.........
I have used contactless cards since they first became available sometimes maybe 10 times a week.
Never had any problems at all.

When I use contactless at Asda, it now shows up immediately as a pending transaction. No other shops do though, which is annoying as clearly it can be done. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

Used contactless at Aldi at 16:30 this afternoon. Shows up on my online banking now. Never checked how soon after it does show.0 -
It all depends on the retailer, and not just for contactless transactions, any transactions. So just because it doesn't appear straight away it's not a contactless glitch.
I find it hard to believe the previous customer paid for your shopping. You probably have a contactless card when your old when expired and didn't realise.
Also if someone does steal your card and you see unknown transactions, the bank will reimburse you the same day you tell them (well Natwest did that for me at least). Also you have to put your pin in after a certain number of contactless transactions (unless you've entered your pin at an atm or another transaction).
I was a skeptic at first, but now i'm a convert to contactless!0 -
Tin hatted nonsense.
For future googlers - this didn't happen.0
