Yes there is I think is how it was happening.

You have to be registered to 'chat' so I knew mine couldn't they have no idea how to use an email etc

but I know a few of their friends ARE registered and use the chat etc.

Oh that is scary re roblox, I've heard my 2 talking about this game in the past, will make sure they don't play it anymore. We had to send a letter out to parents earlier in the year about music.ly as there had been reports locally of a man entering into some kids chat and exposing himself :eek:.

Is is so hard for parents keeping up with all these apps and games! My DH is more on the ball than I am I have to say xx

My kids play robloxs but are banned from the chat, we don't allow them to use the chat feature of any games....the world is full of weirdo's!

The attempted hack was bad enough, I'll have a check at their games this weekend and disable the chat feature if I can.

OMG, that is so scary about Roblox (never heard of it though). Sometimes I feel glad that we don't have kids with all this type of worry.

I also would like to do NSDs but I have to figure out what to it consists as my DDs all don't come out on the same day so not sure if NSDs included general bills like this.

I don't count any DD's, perscriptions or usual spends (such as my allowance, DH's nicorette) in my NSD's.

Anything over that e.g needing a stamp, last minute gift that sort of unexpected thing goes against my NSD.

I've taken my eye off the ball on these since we moved so need to get back on it again.

We've had the odd virus that's been downloaded in the past because of it but not had anything about chat/grooming.

Scary stuff!! I will definitely be having a look at it now.

Thankfully dd's school is really up on things where they might be exposed to potentially dangerous people and send out lots of emails to parents. We do talk about things with her and she seems very aware of potential dangers herself, more so than I would have been at her age.
