  • Spoken to DH and his tax rebate minus the fine will leave him/us with about £700.

DS is in desperate need of a new bed, his old one he's had since he was two and has served him well. DH will not scrimp on a bed and as such part of the refund will be used on that.

That leaves us with not enough to clear the Cap 1 card, so my thinking is to pay the remainder instead off the BC as this one lumps us with an extra £50pm interest. So a smallish chunk off it should help with the repayments on it.

The Cap one card I can tinker about with through the surveys and pay it off that way along with normal payments and ebay of course.
  • We made it, it's Friday and it's payday :) :j

Tax rebate in the bank so that's been moved for the moment and money moved for the end of the month.

Need to pay the gas/electric bill as that's overdue.

You too, hope you managed to get some sleep? x
  • Gas and electric bill paid, so that's a worry off my mind.

MBNA and the BC have had a small payment each but above the minimum, the BC will change again once we sort out the money from the rebate.

Everything points at the monent for the DFD being Sept 2019, I'm hoping to bring that forward a few months by next year.

Yay to the tax rebate PMO2 :j

I agree re the bed, not to be scrimped on if you can help it. Plus if you buy cheap you always buy twice :money:

    Have a lovely Friday x

Just catching up, my kids are quiet good with being safe on the internet and they do regular internet safety classes at school. We do still monitor them tho.

I don't count anything from my bank in my nsd, just when I actually hand over money/card or buy something none bill related online.

    Happy payday/friday.

I'm with your oh on beds, we splurged on our beds and they are all still going strong 9 years later, the kids beds will prob last them until they leave home. We do need to look into new mattresses for the bigger 2 tho but that can wait a month or 2 and we have a mattress wholesaler here who supplies the big fancy shops so we can get decent ones for decent prices.

  • Quick round up:

PA: £14 - £2.57 pending (need £20 to cash out)
OP: £25.80 (need £40 to cash out)
    VO: £1.50
    Quidco: £12.54 - £2 pending (hurry up £2 pending!)

2 x £10 Boots vouchers redeemed from VO in July.

Aiming to pay £75 off the Cap 1 card by the end of August, once everything comes through.
  • I keep forgetting to keep track of how much I have/am earning on surveys. I tend to spend it right away but really should set the money aside in savings or something. It's too tempting when I get payment in Ama£on vouchers to not buy something that I need from my list...
