Glad you’re enjoying the job but sorry to hear about your mil, hope she gets better soon.
  • Afternoon,

Thought I'd post an update, as I've been a bit quiet.

MiL is quite poorly at the moment and seems to be related to something she had a month or so ago. She is currently under the doctor and the hospital are doing tests, they don't think it is anything sinister but they need to check. She also needs a double hip operation early next year, so they need to get this sorted first.

Job wise, the site and the people are just lovely and it really makes coming to work worthwhile, a refreshing change from the previous company. Had a catch up with my Agency bloke and he's had positive feedback from the site team and the Project Manager is adamant that he wants me to go perm in 5 months :)

Money side of things - DH doesn't want to totally pay off the OD yet, but is willing to reduce it by £1K.

DH had a minor bump in his car and as such although he's not putting it through the insurers, the TP bill will be going on the Cap One card. His choice and not something that I'm happy about but I see his point of view, just glad it's not thousands of pounds.

I have investigated the area around site and know what there is both in driving range and walking. My plan next year is to avoid spending anything unless needed, too much temptation lol

Surveys - PA had my account under review? After emailing them, they couldn't explain why so they reinstated it and my cash withdrawal, so I have £16.98 to come, hopefully before Christmas.

£10 from Quidco came through and this has been paid off the Cap One card.

Waiting for £13.80 to come through from PB too.

Day off tomorrow, so going Christmas shopping with the Hubby to get the kids bits.
  • Glad you're loving your new job :).

I hope they found out what's wrong with MIL. Sorry to hear about DH's car prang :(.

Enjoy your Christmas shopping tomorrow, that sounds like a good lead into the weekend :).

It makes such a difference workwise if you love your job doesn’t it. You must be so chuffed after the trials and tribulations of the last one.
