    Tuesday pleasures,

My middle niece’s 21st Birthday, where did all those years go!

Bit of a cba day after a rough nights sleep so pottered about the house & garden.

Spent a far bit of time sitting on the swing seat reading my book, it’s in a secluded part of the garden so grateful for some clouds moving across the sun at times as little dog was snuggled next to me and makes me hot!

New recipe to me using vegan meatballs, they were.....ok, that’s about all I can say!

The evenings are stretching out and it’s now only a month to the summer solstice.
  • I knows I ams on about snorkers all the time, but please, Ms SD. It is a Bacon Banjo!

I see Jimmy the Cook’s place has closed. I guess we will all now have to eat the Turkey Twislers then! Mind you it was not proper food as I has said before, he could not do Saturday Nite Bitsers! Mind you when I fill the motor up at @$d4 I sometimes pop in to buy Raffles his food, and see them not poodles fly off the shelves!

There, nows BoP did not go for the berger yesterday. I could had gone, but we work ourselves to the bone in the boiler room. Nows, also inn the boiler room we has the ice cream van come round in the aftnoon. Cooling it can bee, but we are just as happy on the waters. Talk inn of waters, the boiler room
is out on the nosh tonight at the local wobblefizz emporium. More later!
Now we had the tin of biscuits filled this weak at work, it goes with our tea. And one of the stokers has found out about the holes in the bourbon things, yous know, the chocolate ones! It is to let off steam, just like BoP does in this parish! And ifs yous dig deeper, you can see the connection with Paris during one of their losses in the 19th century.

    Rite.

Wells I gots home yesday after firing the boilers to view the lounge inn Palais de BoP. It is fantastic and looks grate. This is how you do it properly. We painted over Easter Weakened, and finished painting a weak later. Then we had someone do the blinds, and we got the floor. All paid for, as we had weighted a while to do it. Pockets are short now, so to help BoPsie out with her housekeeping, she has been forced to not have any wine! Please consider BoPsie in your forts today!

As we go head thirst into DD75, I has just read about a searchlight operator in Normandy, who went on to join the Combined Service Entertainments. He created a lot of laughs and his films today have been banned in our corrected society. A sad reflection of today’s views? You watched him years ago? One of the Magnificent Men if a magical flying car who did the Italian Job!

How our light shines in a different direction.

Now fors me lunch box and its is full today as well!

Hello. Another lovely day but blooming windy.

Dropped son off to collect his car. Went to Lidl . Got loads of RTC stuff for 20p. Freezer is stuffed.

Home. Quick dog walk.Quick bathroom clean.

Down to nieces ( yes past the car garage from an hour or so earlier) I arrived at same time as midwife. Slightly cursing as I thought she'd nabbed the last parking space but got in right in front.

Had said I'd take baby a walk and let the very tired daddy get a snooze and the mummy a shower. DD phoned to see if her and her friend could pop down as college class was sent home. So had to wAit till they arrived then we went a wander.

Saw the sea. Saw the charity shop ( new to me denim jacket that I've been keeping an eye out for ages and 2 black tops for work) and a coffee shop...then home to his nice and clean mummy and a sleeping daddy.

Back home for me. Quick dog walk. A bit of a snuggle then up to boss' house and a bit more menu planning.

Home. Quick dog walk! Then dinner of chicken en croute, potatoes, roast veg and salad. All RTC!

Early to bed. I'm tired. I can't be bothered staying up just to doze off on sofa. Shall try and watch Masterchef Australia.

    Pleasures for today (Wednesday)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Hens well.

    3) Smaller son had physics GCSE and I had a cup of tea in Sainsburys.

    4) Have lost 2 more lbs so have broken the 12 stones barrier! Now 11 stones 13. (I am quite tall so that's not as serious as it sounds).

    5) Bigger son had an interview for a college course and got an unconditional offer! He's very chuffed. Its an outdoor leaders course and 2 years (I thought it was only 1) and they get a certificate in all sorts of things like climbing, canoeing, wakeboarding etc plus they go on loads of trips including one to France in the first week!

    6) I'm doing the voting work tomorrow (16 hour shift) so made tea ready so sons just have to heat it up.

    7) Sat in the garden where 99% of the time I would be totally undisturbed and not overlooked. A sudden rush of neighbours :-D Mr Uphill very jolly, Mr Downhill is going to pay to have some of his trees taken down (by this I mean a willow and a eucalyptus that are over 15 metres tall... so this is a good thing).

    8) Just had a walk in the forest.

    9) In bed now as I have a 5.20am start...
  • A beautiful day, warm (too warm at points) and golden!

Swifts swooping and dipping and squeeeeeeeing for the sheer delight of being a swift.

A good shift at the shop where I cleared all the clothes donations that were in and managed a good deal of the ironing too.

A nice walk round the lake this afternoon to stretch my legs and soak up some sun, the baby ducklings are now gangling adolescents and sadly all the baby moorhens have gone.

DD1 and James rang and said can we come over, we'll treat you to fish and chips for supper.....how could we refuse? was so nice to have them for an evening where they didn't have to work and the meal was lovely too!

    Wednesday pleasures,

Waking up at 5am and realising that I had actually slept through the night :j

A jackdaw came down to have a drink from the water feature, first time in the 15 years I’ve lived here as they are normally so shy, admired his beautiful grey head.

Pony falling asleep in the sun as lovely farrier worked on her feet.

Home from the yard and it was so warm that I put on a summer dress, I know!

Burnt my mouth on my tea which certainly wasn’t a pleasure but the small bowl of mint choc chip ice-cream that I had afterwards was, medicinal purposes and all that!
  • And I cannot tell you why today?
Apart from the first nite in pure cotton sheets.

    Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    Hello.

It's been a pleasant day if you like your look windswept! Tad breezy.

Today I've went as far as the post box at lunchtime to post a card.

However I have also washed all floors that are washable ( all but 2 rooms) hoovered , dusted, cut grass, swept up front porch and driveway.

Nattered to two sets of neighbours.

Cleaned bathrooms. Washings out and washings in and the bath mats and hand towels just about to go out for a blow.

Managed to watch one episode of Masterchef ( I'm three behind) dozed off during it.

Have put lasagne in the oven and emailed lidl about the RTC bag of salad I was charged full price for . A difference of £1.09 ! It's away at other end of town and the number I googled wasn't connecting.

We will be going to vote when son gets home. All go up together.
  • Such a beautiful day the outside temperature gauge was reading 25 this afternoon but the lounge was pleasantly cooler.

Washing dried and getting it off the line and folded away is always a pleasure, it smells just heavenly,

HWK has taken his op dressing off this afternoon and the wound has all but healed and looks nice and healthy. He's so much less uncomfortable now the dressing is off too!

He managed the walk to the village hall to vote this morning without his stick and we went for a nice coffee and a sit down for him on the way home. He even took himself to the allotment this afternoon too and came back perfectly OK, thank goodness.

Have another afternoon in the shop tomorrow to cover for someone whose son is back in the UK and unexpectedly close so he's suggested they meet at a central point for lunch, nice to be able to help out.
