    Pleasures over the weekend

    1. Lovely weather here in ICT - blue skies and sunshine.
    2. OH and I did a lovely walk up on to the hills, soon we can do lots more of that (well he can now, but sadly not me.... not until I've finished)
    3. Meal with friends after drinks in beer garden of caf! bar
    4. Did the garden - garden is a bit of an overstatement, it's a tiny bit of walled planting in the backyard and some pots in the front but it all looks a lot better.
    5. DS and I watched the Virtues with the fabulous Stephen Graham, after which we watched This is England..
    6. OH and DS gone home now, i'm here till tomorrow. THe pleasure is I can crack on with fewer distractions
    7. Walks by the sea
    8. Washing dried on the line in the sunshine
    9. Next door are away - they play their music rather loud and the walls are fairly thin, so it's nice to get some peace
    10. Finished (ish) a chapter

Right I must crack on - have a lovely day all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Monday pleasures,

    Cloudy but surprisingly warm day.

The sparrow squadron having a communal bath.

My girlies both had a birthday, small dog was 8 and princess pony was 7, they both had special treats in celebration :D

Over the yard and heard the cuckoo again, the sound of summer from my childhood.

Walking around the garden last thing before bed and the big old moon shining bright.

Theres that better. Is brake out day at BoP Palais today! Could jack it all inn with enuff and move back up norff away from the concreted jungle and retire. But the millwrite still wants to pay so every month more into the piggy bank, and more to enjoy.

Don’t forget that Combat Stress has details about ex regulars who have PTSD on LBC’s website this weak. Worth a visit. Mid you, it took an overseas TV channel to note some events that the Vets have done recently, not that any RT channel could interfere in an election! Still it is 200 years since the soldiers were thrown on the streets and we still see them there! Check Soldiers off the Streets.
    Edit. Found website
    https://campaign.lbc.co.uk/combat-stress-lbc-may19

On that I was at the kite shed the other Sunday, another Women in Aviation day, also there were the RAFA and RNA about their work with vets. Not that I support the darker blues, but their club in Glawster was broken into and they need your support.

Talking of support, on mes sojourns to Steels Corner House, did you know at the top of High Cliff in Meggies Town, the RAFA and RNA are next door to each other! Ifs yous not knows where Steels is, you are missing out on the best Fish and Chips in the world!

Rites that is enuff rants and things.

So today is breakout day, when the balance sheet of BoP is on the retired side. The lounge floor is being laid and we could if wes wants to, go back to Steels for lunch! But alas, millwrite has wads of cash and we is … More later.

Raffles had his flea treatment yestday. BoP trapped him, collared him and gave him a squirt. No clawing! BoPsie is doing well. Though this very morning he was late for his breakfast!

As our floor is being laid, BoPsie is at home today and she will ensure that Raffles gets loads of treats, she did mes luncheon box. Unfortunately she missed out my satsuma. The Chuck wagon is near, Burger time?

No I could if I was that famished!

Nows I said I has a new shovel inn the boiler room. A souped up PC. I has just loaded up the player thing and it has given me some background musaq, Ninja Tuna by Mr Scruff. Don’t thinks they be as good as Eddie and the Hot Rods! Other music is available!

Now on abouts the band that BoP has not seen.
It was Mud! Understand that BoP’s Big Sis did!
Orphan Boy. Spiders Web December 2016
Eddie and the Hot Rods, GCoT December 1978
The Nolans, Pier Pavilion, Cleethorpes, August 1979
    Genesis, NEC, September 1981
Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band, Radio City, NYC, September 2018

If you are wanting to waste you artisan milk shake, please take out more than one of them!

Do I run for a Burger? More on that tomorrow, if you can stomach it!

That is the end result of all this.
  • HWK is really progressing well after his operation and today is so much less uncomfortable that he wanted to (and did) walk down to the village for a coffee. We had a decent sit down while we had coffee and he walked home again without being in the least bit sore.

DD2 had her 20 week anomaly scan this morning and all is well and all is normal with my smallest soon to be Grandpickle. She was in a little worry last night having had little Oreo with a cleft but they did a very thorough check and the new little one is fine, phew!

Zebra's class did a musical evening play for their parents delectation last night and he was a 'party pig' with Pineapple shaped sunglasses and a paper flower garland round his neck over his piggy costume. They had to speak a few lines in Spanish and the video DD2 sent us was outstandingly good. The reception teacher who guided their footsteps is awesome!

Fields full of buttercups as I went to town on the bus this morning, obviously being left to get a hay crop from them but so gorgeous to see and sent me right back to childhood memories, I just love where we live.

Finding some Quorn Steak Strips in the supermarket freezer this morning, they're really tasty and I haven't been able to track them down for months anywhere, well done Asda.

No time to read but will catch up on your pleasures later...battery about to go!

Beautiful day. Trying to get my own housework done first thing . Floors hoovered and washed. Washing out...son...can you follow me to car garage then run me home....grrrr. And you're asking me now? So of course I did.

Back home. Quick dog walk. Then drove back past the blooming garage ( which was the growly part!) to get to niece's. However as I was stuck in a queue behind a tractor I was more able to appreciate the beautiful countryside than if we hadn't been.

'I can see the sea' not sure if it works when it's just me in the car but I still said it. First person to see and say is the winner. It was me today!

Parked car at supermarket and walked . Popped into a charity shop and got several stunning Monsoon skirts for £3.50 each. One still had the £55 tag on. 2 black teeshirts ( will need to wear black for work ...yuk! Just not my colour) and 2 pairs of trousers. One were just a pound.

Walked round to the niecelys. Cleaned the bathroom and hung out some washing and had a baby snuggle. He's so tiny. He's so lovely.

Then back to car. Popped into new car just in time to trial taste some cake samples...I will make them! I will make them so much cheaper and so much tastier!

Home! Sigh! Quick dog walk and he was delighted with his early tea and then walked up to new boss' house where we worked on menu plans and costings. Hoping to open in a fortnight. So much still to be done. But it's exciting. And they all seem lovely. Met all the family today. I had DD2 with me as she will be working too.

Then home. Took my offspring out for dinner. I'd pate , then lasagne then a very unnecessary meringue nest ( bit dry and not chewy). Absolutely stuffed but apart from a few bites of cake I actually hadn't eaten.

Going to catch up on all things Mastercheffy in Australia.

Had a parcel today from DD1 . A beautiful note book for writing all things allotment-y in. And a lovely card. A slightly belated Australian Mothers Day gift.

A slightly hectic but good day!

Another rather slow day. Can't believe it is still only Tuesday!

    Pleasures for today

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Porridge for breakfast.

    3) Morning exam (maths) for smaller son and he said it went pretty well.

    4) Had my 2 pots of tea in Sainsbury's caf! while I waited for him.

    5) Did Sainsbury's shopping afterwards, which was a pleasure as things were getting quite desperate!

    6) Hens well.

    7) Spent a long time in the garden. Thought I would cut down the bulb foliage but after that decided I would weed. Then sweep. Then tidy. Then prune. Then weed and prune all the big pots of herbs!

    8) Bigger son appeared with his friend who asked for a glass of milk! That tickled me because we only drink tea and water so I stood in confusion for a few seconds.

    9) Nice roast pork dinner with potatoes, carrots, courgettes, stuffing and gravy.

    10) Holby City.

    Evening all :)

    Five pleasures for Tuesday:

    1. Visited parents twice - about seven hours with them today.

    2. Lunch and supper together, including a really nice mozzarella salad.

    3. Watching the Chelsea medals on BBC.

    4. Collected some useful allotment things on Freegle.

    5. Took them to allotment this evening and managed a big strim of grass at dusk - no time for anything else today but it was a good job to tick off the list.

    Sweet dreams
