  • 1) It's cooling down!

    2) Just been for a nice stroll with He Who Knows down to the river and back under the shade of any tree we could find.

    3) Washing dried outside in less than an hour at the height of the days temperature.

    4) Visit from my brother.

    5) Trip to the library yielded a new to me cookery book which I like so much I've bought a copy from Amazon.

    Pleasures for today (Tuesday).

    1) The slightly "troubled" stomach was not a pleasure (nor was it for smaller son!) but the day off work was, once I had improved a bit.

    2) Hens well - 4 eggs.

    3) Felt better by lunchtime so did various jobs - dropped stuff off at charity shops, bought the new kitchen lights from Tool Station, went to Sainsburys.

    4) Back on the Blood Sugar Diet again.

    5) Tidied during the afternoon and made the tea ready.

    6) Had a cup of tea with my school friend.

    Good Morning,

    1. Early morning gardening.

    2. Croissants and coffee for breakfast.

    3. Good meeting with parent and student.

    4. Walk by the reservoir with hot doggie. It was like being abroad.

    5. DH has found a programme about BBC 2 home improvement programmes through the decades. Watched the 60’s last night. Looking forward to the 70’s.

    Have a lovely day :)

    Tuesday pleasures,

Spent the day with DN, she is fab company and we didn’t stop talking all day.

Took her over to the yard to meet horse girlie and have a riding lesson, proud Auntie as her posture is spot on and picked up enough to be trotting by end, must be in the genes :rotfl:

Late lunch in the garden, ice-cream might have been involved.

Relative cool of the evening, sitting on garden seat and watching bat doing his thing.

Little owl, not heard for some time, calling from the beech trees.

V Seems we will has to get some wobbleades in if the shortage is going to occur! BoPsie is ok, wine is unaffected. It could also hit the snorkers, but BoP has his freezer full of snorkers.

4 We has the thirst eliminator as well. Frogs vs Argies. Losers go home! Hopefully today we will have the second eliminator. Germans vs Brazil. Now we need to get Sterlings scoring boots on, for own goals and miss the top half of the draw.

3 At gym tonites. BoPsie is after a new programme as her beach ready routine is not keeping a pace with BoP! We will see. Melt mode!

2 day at the mill we is having a BBQ. That!!!8217;s the food for today. Other foods are available!
Having one again today! My intern having spent 19 years in no education, has in a weak in the boiler house, come up like the roses! His presentation on how bad schul is schedule for 1 today! Details tomorrow! You end up like BoP when yous placed with BoP!

    Now BBQ time!

Yes, no, and what is it you want.
  • 1) We used our membership of the arboretum for a last time walk this morning, it was very beautiful in the sunshine. Our cards run out on the 30th June, we just had to go and say thank you for all our times there.

    2) Lovely picnic lunch when we got back home, I'm so enjoying eating outside in the garden under the shade of the big umbrella.

    3) We have the survey of the house here tomorrow lunchtime, nice to think things are moving along and we may soon have a potential moving date.

    4) The beans in the polytunnel have survived and I got around a pound of young beans off them today and also a courgette (obviously not off the bean plants!), so that seems to have survived too, hoorah!

    5) Went into the shop at the arboretum and found superhero stickers and a pack of 18 paper planes to make for James's two lads and a Beetle Drive game for the Zebra child to have in stockings this Christmas.

For you, Fritz, your Korea is over.
  • Been away a couple of days as Oh had 3 stents fitted so all a bit stressful but he's on the mend

    - Finally emptied the old fridge freezer in the garage - the even older freezer is now jam packed, but it'll concentrate the mind about using up the excess food, and hopefully help with the electricity bill! Going to get new, more efficient freezer soon

    - Loving the heat, and loving being off work looking after OH so I don't have to work in the heat :D

    - Loving the World Cup

    - The roses are still gladdening my heart

    - The birdsong in the garden also gladdens my heart :)

Gosh, I've just stupidly written this on another thread/board I was reading. Glad I noticed!

Oooft it's hot. I've never known it to be 29o in Scotland.

Early start with messages from D2 .

Had a hospital appointment so friend who works there gave me a lift. Sat & read my book till it was time. Taken on time & thankfully in & out!

Bus into town. Mooched about charity shops. Got green linen trousers for £2 ,a pair of zip at the knees trousers for a pound. A green boden cardi for a pound...a random very heavy, marble lazy Susan doodah which made carrying bags very heavy. And a top for £2 served by a wonderfull chatty & encouraging volunteer. Bus home. Asked son to meet me as bag was so heavy.

Lunch & book reading in garden but got very hot so came in. Finished book.

Got ready to go out. In a never been worn by me dress I bought in Australia before I'd left. And high (for me) wedges that I bought in sale ages ago in Australia. Made for prettiness not comfort! Friend picked me up & we had an evening most lovely and have chatted non stop for 4 hours.

Home to a happy dog and a grumpy son, who's hot & bothered & hayfevered! He's been told to improve his mood! This is why the dogs my favourite !
